BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
C(~(JNTY ®F BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING TiIE COUNTY COLLECTION
AG~'NCY AS THE PROPER OFFICER FOR THE COLLECTION
OF CARE, SUPPORT AND MAINT$NANCE OF MINOR
PERSONS COMMITTED TO COUNTY INSTITUTIONS
~~„ th.e Probation Officer of the County of Butte is
required to collect and remit funds required to be paid by
the estate or relatives of the person committed to any county
institution,
y~_tx~A:~, the County of Butte has established a collection
agency under ',the direction of the medical directox/superintendent
of the County, Hospital as ex-officio county physican, and
T,i~iEREAS', it is deemed expedient to take advantage of
the collection agency for the facilities which have been
established by the County of Butte.
N(DLT TH~12~;FORE BE IT 12E50LV~:D by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, that the medical
directox/superintendent of the County Hospital as ex-officio
county physican sha11 be t,ze county officer that may reduce,
cancel or remit the amount to be paid by the estate or the
relatives as a case may be, for the care, support and
maintenance of a mir!.or person placed or detained in, or
committed to any county institution or other place, pursua~.t
to the order of the Juvenile Court of the County;
BE IT FURTHER RBSOLVEA by said Board, that the medical
director/sup•ax'intendent of the County Hospital as ex~officio
physican sha1J, be the county officer designated to collect
all costs and', charges mentioned in Section-903 of the welfare

and Institutions Code or established by order of the Juvenile.
Court and saki officer is authorized to take such action in
the name of the county as is necessary to effect that collection
within ox without the State,
PASS~A AND ADOPTS by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Bute, State of California, this 30th day of
April , 1963, by the following vote:
