BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE 0~' CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY FOR CONTRACTS FOR CATER
'~HERE.ASs the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California: deems it in the best interest of the County
to secure water for future use within the County; and
'3,iHEREAS, a certain amount of water is available for contract
by and through the Department of`~Dater Resources from the State
mater Plan; and
'+~1f3EREA5s it is the desire of this Board to make provision
for the future water needs of the citizens of the County of Buttes
NOA THEREFORE, BE IT RESOItVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of Galifornia, as follows:
1. That the pater Resources Engineer of the County of
Butte ascertains as nearly as possible: the followings
(a) The amounts of domestic, industrial or agricultural:
water available from the State mater Project, which at a future
date can be economically used in the County of Buttes
(b) The probable costs of such water and the date or
dates of payment therefor
(c) The place or places of delivery of said waters and
the approximate date of such delivery,
(d) Any other facts necessary to the formulation of a
tentative agreement pertaining to the delivery and at~ceptance of '`"
water fxom the State mater Pro~ec~ between the Department of
latex Resources and the County of Butte.
20 Negotiate with the Department of mater Resources for a

tentative water contract, and present said tentative agreement to
this Board for final approval or disapproval thereof.
PASSED ANA ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Bttttei State of California,. this 4th day of
June ~ 1963, by the following votes
