A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND ATTORNEYS
SIERRA DEL ORO, UNIT N0. 1
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
California, that •
WHEREAS, this Board has determined to undertake proceedings pursuant
to appropriate assessment and assessment bond acts for the/a~e~~~~s-i$-~.- an
construction of public improvements in said County; 4
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare wi11 be served by
appointing and employing engineers and attorneys for the preparation and
conduct of said proceedings and work in connection with said acquisitions
and improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That Charles H. Brogunier, Chico, California, be, and he is hereby,
appointed as Engineer of Vdork and employed to do and perform all engineer-
ing work necessary in and for said proceedings, including all preliminary
surveying, plans, profiles, specifications, estimate of costs, diagram,
assessment and warrant, setting grade stakes and supervision of work; that
h5.s compensation be, and it is hereby, fixed at reasonable fees to be set
forth in the estimate of cost and approved by this Board and assessed as
an incidental expense of said proceedings; and that Charles H. Brogunier
or his authorized agent, be designated to make and sign any certificate
or document required to be made or signed by the Engineer of Work.
2. The Director of Public i•dorks of said County is hereby directed
to examine and approve the engineering documents, and to provide inspection
of the construction of said improvements and to accept said work when done
to his satisfaction, and, as County Surveyor, to sign the warrant. The
cost of said inspection shall be assessed as an incidental expense of
said proceedings.
~, That the law firm of ~~ilson, Harzfeld, 3ones & Morton, San Mateo,
California, be, and they are hereby, appointed and employed to do and 'per-•
form all legal services required in the conduct of said proceedings, in-
cluding the preparation of all papers not required to be prepared by the
Engineer, examining and approving the engineering documents and advising
the Engineer in the preparation of his vaork, advising all County officials
on all matters relating thereto when called upon, and furnishing their
legal opinion on the validity. of said proceedings and bonds, and that
their compensation be, and it is hereby, fixed at two per cent (2~} of
the total assessment, or Five Hundred Dollars(~500.00), whichever is
greater, together with reasonable fees for services in acquiring easements
or in eminent domain or other suits, to be assessed as an incidental ex-
pense of said proceedings.
