RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County•of Butte,
California, that in its opinion the public interest and convenience re-
quire, and that it is the intention of said Board to order the~,aequisi-
tions and improvements more particularly hereinafter described:
1. +~~henever any public way is herein referred to as running between
two public ways, or from or to any public way, the intersections of the
public ways referred to are included to the extent that work is shown on Y,he
plans filed herein. All the work shall be of the forms, sizes, dimensions,
depths, in the locations and to the grades as more particularly shown on the
plans, profiles and specifications therefor approved by the Board of Super-
visors of said County.
2. There is excepted, however, from the work any and all thereof
which has already been done or laid to official line and grades as hereto-
fore adopted and established in said plans, prof Iles and specifications.
3. Reference is hereby made to the plans and specifications on file
3.ri the office of the County Clerk of said County, and the same are incorp-
orated herein as if fully set forth.
4. Said Board does hereby adopt and establish. as the official grades
for said work the grades and elevations shown upon said plans, profiles
and specif ications. All such grades and elevations are to be in feet and
decimals of feet with reference to the official base and datum plane of
the U. S. Coast Geodetic Survey, as described in said ,plans and specifica-
tions.
5. Notice is hereby given of the fact that in many cases said work
and improvement will bring the finished work to a grade different from
that formerly existing, and that to said extent said grades are hereby
changed and that said work will be done to said changed grades.
6. Said acquisitions and improvements are more particularly described
as follows:
(a) The improving of Magnolia Drive, Pinewood Drive, Magalia
Drive and Imperial Way for their entire lengths and widths within
Sierra Del Oro Unit No. 1 and Rosewood Drive from Northwood Drive
to Skyway by grading and the construction therein of untreated rock
base and double seal coat asphalt paving within Sierra Del Oro
Unit No. 1 and Rosewood Drive and storm drains and appurtenances
thereto.
(b) The acquisition of twelve-foot drainage easements between
Lots 13 and 14, 27 and 28, 55 and 56, 69 and 70; 93 and g4, 34 and
355 ~$ and 4g; and across Lots 112, 113 and 114.
{c) The construction of all work and improvements and the
acquisition of all lands and easements auxiliary to any of the above
and necessary to complete the same.

7. Said Board further declares that all public streets and highways
within said assessment district in use in the performance of a public
function as such, shall be omitted from the assessment hereafter to be made
to cover the costs and expenses of said acquisitions and improvements.
8. Said contemplated acquisitions and improvements, in the opinion
of this Board, are of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said
Board does hereby make the costs and expenses thereof chargeable upon an
assessment district, the exterior boundaries of which district are the
coterminous exterior boundaries of the composite and consolidated area
shown on the map thereof on file in the office of the County Clerk which
indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory included in the
proposed district and which shall govern for all details as to the extent
of the assessment district, to which reference is hereby made for a more
particular description thereof.
9. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid
assessments and bear interest at the rate of six per cent (6~) per annum,
will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code, the Improvement Act of 1911, and the last installment
of such bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the second day of
January next succeeding the next September lst following their date. Said
bonds shall be made payable to bearer and provide a premium of five per
cent (5~) of the unpaid principal thereof on call.
10. All of said work and improvements shall be done pursuant to
the provisions of the Improvement Act of lgll, as amended.
11. Reference is hereby made to proceedings had under the Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931
on file in the office of the County Clerk.
12. The Paradis Pont , a newspaper of general
circulation printed and circulated in said County, is hereby designated
as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention shall be published,
and the County Clerk is hereby directed to cause this Resolution of Inten-
tion to be published by two insertions in the manner and form provided
by law.

l3. The County Surveyor shall cause to be conspicuously bated along
the line of said contemplated work and improvements, at not more than 300
feet in d~.stance apart, and along all the open streets and avenues within
said district, and in front of all property liable to be assessed, at not
more than 300 feet in distance apart, but not less than 3 in all on each
street in said district, notices of the passage of this Resolution of
Intention, in the manner and form required by the Improvement Act of 1911
and amendments thereto.

15. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the ~3Y day of
~.~~~ 1963, at the hour of ~ o'clock /a,M., the Chambers
of this Board, Court House, Oroville, California, any and all persons having
any objections to the proposed work or improvements herein described or to
the proposed grades at which said work and improvements are to be done and
made, or having any objections to the proposed district to be assessed
therefor, or the boundaries ar extent thereof, may appear before said
Board and show cause why said proposed work or improvements showld not be
carried out in accordance with this Resolution of Intention.
16. The County Clerk is hereby directed to mail notices of the
adoption of this Resolution of Intention, postage prepaid, to all persons
specified and in the time, form and manner provided by law.
