10 WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 3, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter
11 2.2 of the Government Code of the State of California, a
12 petition requesting the institution of proceedings for the
13 establishment of a County Service Area'was in proper form
14 presented to this Board on the 30th day of July, 1963;
15 NOWr THEREFORE, IT IS T3EREBY RESOLVED:
16 1. That a County Service Area is proposed to be establis
~,7 under the terms of the aforesaid chapter in the unincorporated
lg area of Butte County, the boundary lines of the territories
19 proposed for inclusion in the area are as shown in Exhibit "A"
20 attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.
21 2. That the name proposed .for said County Service
22 Area is County Service Area No. 5.
23 3. That the types of extended county services already
24 provided in this area are nil.
25 4. That the type of extended county services proposed to
2g be provided in this area is:
27 ~ (a) Stree~ lighting.
28 5. That a tax sufficient to pay for all such services
29 which are furnished on an extended basis will be annually levied
30 upon all taxable property within said area.
31 6. That on the 20th day of Au ust 1963, at
32 11 o'clock A. M., a public hearing will be held on

the establishment of said area.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of July, 1963, by
the following vote:

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED LIGHTING DISTRICT BOi3NDARY
All that certain real property situate in the County
of Butte, State of California, described as follows:
PARCEL I
All that portion as shown on that certain map
entitled "Town of Richvale" filed in Book 6 of
Maps, Page 53, Butte County Records, and more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southeast corner of Lot 461 of
said Town of Richvale; thence NortT 89° 13' 00"
West, 1240.00 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot
426, said point being also the Southwest corner
of that certain subdivision entitled "Thengvall
Tract Unit 1" filed in Book 30 of Maps, Page 11,
Butte County Records; thence Northerly along the
Westerly boundary of°said Thengvall Tract and its
projection, North 00 36' 00" East, 369.00 feet;
thence South 89° 13` 00" East, 180.00 feet to the
Northwest corner of Lot 12 of said Thengvall Tract;
thence South 77° 34' 07" East, 267.46 feet to the
Northwest corner of Lot 15 of said Thengvall Tract;
thence South 89° 13' 00" East, 266.00 feet to the
Northwest corner of Lot 18 of said Thengvall Tract;
thence North 75° O1' 00" East, 70.00 feet to a
point on the Westerly right of way of Park Way as
shown in said Thengvall Tract; thence North 14° 59'
00" West, 4.93 feet; thence North 75° Ol' 00"
East, 180.00 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot
19 of said Thengvall Tract; thence South 14° 59' 00"
East, 91.99 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 22

Lot 22, said point is on the Westerly right of way
of Midway Drive; thence .Southeasterly along said
right of way, South 14° 59' 00" East, 280.59 feet;
thence South 00° 36' 00" West, 83.46 feet to the
point of beginning.
PARCEL II
The Southerly 65 feet of Lot 150 and. the Northerly
85 feet of Lots 420,421, 422, 423., 424 and 425 as shown
on Map entitled, "Ta~un of Richvale, " which map was
filed in the office of the Recorder of the County
of Butte, State of California, January 17, 1910 in
Book "6" of Maps, at page 53.
PARCEL III
The North 15 feet of Lot 150 and the South half of
Lot 343 according to map entitled "Town of Richvale,"
which map was filed in the office of the Recorder
of the County of Butte, State of California,
January 17, 1910 in Map Book "6" at page 53.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the strip of land heretofore
conveyed to Drainage District No. 100 of Butte
County by deed dated June 29, 1918 and recorded
July 10, 1918 in Book "170" of Deeds, at page
313, records of Butte County, California.
