BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION APPROVING ,ANNEXATION OF CONTIGUOUS UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF CHICO
'y~IEREAS, the Chico City Schoal District of the County of
Butte, States of California, has petitioned the City of Chico to
annex the Land commonly known as Chapman Elementary School; and
WfiEREAS, The City Council of the City of Chico, by their
Resolution No. 10% 62-63, have approved said petition for
annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chico has
petitioned the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, requesting such annexation, pursuant to
Section 35200 of the Government Code of the State of California;
and
WHEREAS, the 6th day of August, 1963, at the hour of
11 o'clock A. M. has been fixed as the time and place where all
objections to the annexation may be heard, and that notices of
said hearing were published according to law; and
'iaHEREAS, no objections, either in writing or in person,
were made and no protests were filed with the Board of Supervisors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
of the County of Butte, State of California ,. that they hereby
approve the annexation of the following described real property
to the City of Chico, this 6th. day of August, 1963, said real
property is described as follows:
All that certain real property situate, lying and being
in the County of Butte, State of California, described
as follows:
Beginning at the north quarter corner of Section 36,

in Township 22 North, Range 1 East, M.D.B.&M.;
thence southerly along the north and south centerline
of said Section 36, 49.38 feet; thence east 750 feet;
thence northerly and parallel to the north and south
centerline of Sections 25 and 36, Township 22 N.,
Range 1 East, M.D.B.&M., 349,38 feet; thence North
46°45'30" ~7est 549.63 feet; thence South 81°55''.West
along the easterly extension of the southerly line
of Cleveland Avenue as shown on that certain map
entitled "Official Map of the Fetters Tract", which
map was recorded in the office of the Recorder of
the County of Butte, State of California, on
February 17, 1903 in Book of Maps 2, Page 192, 273.64
feet; thence North 45°'West 41.27 feet to a point on
the easterly extension of the north erly line of said
Cleveland Avenue; thence South 81°55''West 50.00
feet along said extension to said north and south
centerline of said Section 25; thence southerly along
said centerline to the point of beginning, containing
9.77 acres, more or less.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 6th day of
August, 1963, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Alldredge Giles, McKillop~ Pryde and
Chairman Steineggex'
