RESOLUTION DF THE BDABD OF SUPk;~TISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION RETESTING STUDY FOR II'~1PROV.EMENT OF STATE HIGHWAY SIGN ROUTE US liOA l I 2 3 4 5 6 7 8' 9 10 11 12 13- 14 15 16 ~7 Z8 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 t~kIERE~4S, the completion of the Orovllle Project by the State of California is scheduled for the year 1968; and Trd3ERE~5, the recreational facilities the structure and impounded water will generate a large volume of vehicular traffic; and UII~ftE~S, the section of State Highway Sign Route US ,[~0 Alternate from Union School (southerly from Oroville} to Jarbo Gap has been relocated and is!- proved to freeway and expressway standards; and ~S, this Board of Supervisors and the people of the County of Butte are deeply appreciative of these improvements; and Tnk~EREAS, the section of said State Highway Sign Route US t~0 Alternate from Jarbo Gap northeasterly to the Plumes County Line will undoubtedly prove inadequate to carry the traffic generated by the Oroville Pro3ect; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVER that thin Board of Supervisors convey its deep appreciation for the recent improvements on State Highway Sign Route US ISO A~.ternate to the Highway Commission and the Department of Public Works, Division of Highways of this State and urgently request that studies be ender- taken for the realignment and improveunent of that section of State Highway Sign Route US LEO Alternate from Jarbo Gap to the Plumes County Line leading to the eventual development of that portion to freeway standards.
