RESOLUTION OF PRELTMINAP.Y DETEi?!!I\ATION TO UNDERTI~~E
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT PROCEEDINGS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF IMPROVEMENTS IN COPLEY ACRES ASSESSMENT DISTRICT,
COUNTY OF BUTT1~, STATE CF CALIFOP.NIA
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, as follaws:
1. The petition of E. G. COPLEY for the construction of
improvements 'by special assessment proceedings of the property
within the boundaries of the map designated "Map Showing Boundaries
of Proposed District for Canstruction of Improvements in Copley
Acres Assessment District, County of Butte, State of California",
which said map is on file in the Office of the County Clerk of
the County of Butte, is incorporated herein by this reference as
though fully set forth herein.
2. The Certificate of WALTER B. GRIMES, Registered Civil En-
gineer, dated Augusi:l3, 1963, certifying that the petition herein-
abave referred to was signed by the'ow~zers of one hundred per cent
(100%) in area of the property described in said petition is in-
corporated herein by this reference as though fully set Earth herein.
3. It is hereby ordered and determined that the terms and
conditions of said petition heretofore incorporated herein be, and
they are hereby, accepted and that the construction of improvements
shall be made in accordance with. the terms of said petition and that
the assessment district proceedings shall be instituted and carried
through in accordance with the terms of said petition.
~. It is hereby found, determined and ordered that WALTER
B. GRIMES shall be Engineer of Work in accordance with the terms and
conditions of the petition hereinabove referred to and the letter
accepting the terms of said petition from said t~TALTER B. GRIMES,
which is on file ~oith the proceedings. It is further ordered that
STUP:GIS, DEN-DULiC, DOUGLASS & ANDERSOi~T shall be Special Bond Counsel
to prepare all proceedings in accordance with the terms and conditions

ment as to compensation by said STIJRGIS, DEN-DUCK, DOUGLASS &
ANDERSON which is on file with these proceedings.
S. That the public interest and convenience will be served
by the taking of special assessment proceedings for the construction
of improvements set forth in said petition. Said work is of more than
ordinary public benefit and the cost and expenses thereof should be
borne by a district benefited by said construction of improvements.
Said district shall be known and designated as "Copley Acres Assess-
ment District, County of butte, State of California".
6. The district which shall hear the cost and expense of
said construction of improvements, including all incidental expenses
and which is to be assessed to pay for the cost of said improvements,
is that district shown on a map which is on file in the office of the
County Clerk of the County of Butte, which map is entitled "Map Showing
Boundaries of Proposed District for Construction of Improvements in
Copley Acres assessment district, County of Butte, State of California".
7. That all of said proceedings shall be undertaken without
expense to the County of Butte and at the expense of the petitioner
out of the proceeds of assessment, diagram and warrant and bonds to
be issued in said proceedings.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Bute,
State of California, at a regula-r meeting thereof held on the ]3th day
August, 1963, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Supervisors Alldredge, Giles, McKillop, Pryde and
Chairman Steinegger
