BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE.,, STATE OF CAI,IF.bRNIA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZTNG CHAIRMAN TO VERIFY OR E~CUTE
PROCEEDINGS FOR PROTECTION OF COUNTY ROADS.
WHEREASa the construction of the Oroville Project by the
Department of Water Resources of the State of California will
cause county roads affected thereby to be inundated or otherwise
taken or destroyed; and
WHEREASm the County of Butte desires that adequate
substitute facilities be provided for the use of the people of
the County of Butte and the State of California in the areas
affected; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water Resources will at the
present time only discuss with the County of Butte the relocation
of the Oroville-¢uincy Road which is only one of the roads that
will be s.o affected; .and
WHEREAS said substitute facilities must be immediately
engineered, constructed, and commenced if the traveling public
of the County of Butter and the State of California are to be
adequately served, and relieved of great inconvenience.
NOW.t THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE OOUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIAN as follows:
1. That the Chairman of said Board is hereby authorized
to execute and cause to be filed, any and all complaints,
petitions, applications and all other procedings of every natures
description and kind for the protection of any now existing
county road or highways or to secure for the traveling public of
the county and state adequate substitute facilities therefore,
in any courts commissions boards or other public body or forum
of competent jurisdiction; and to do any and all other things
necessary and required to accomplish said purpose.

2. That the Clerk shall supply certified copies of this
resolution to anyone designated by the Chairman of this Board
or by the County Counsel of the County of Butte.
PASSED AND ADOPTER by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 20th day of August,
1963, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Alldredge, Giles, Pryde and Chairman Steinegger
NOES : None
ABSENT: Supervisor McKillop
