HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-117i, 1 RESOLUTION No. 63 -13.7 2 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS 3 COUNTY OF BUTTE STATE OF CAI,IFORNTA 4 RESOLUTION AUT330RIZING LOAN TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE.COUNTY.OF BUTTE AND ACCEPTING PROMISSORY NOTE 5 AS EVIDENCE THEREOF SECIIRED BX DEED Ok' TRUST 6 7 WHEREAS, the County of Butte is authorized by law to make a loan to 8 the Housing Authority of the County Qf Butte; and 9 WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the Gounty of Butte is regnired 10 for public health reasons to make certain improvements to the labor Camp 17, situate near Gridley, Butte County, California; and 12 WHEREAS, said improvements are for the benefit generaL2y of the 13 populace of the County of Butte; and 14 WHEREAS, the County of Butte is desirous of aiding as far as 15 p ossible the improvement of the living conditions of itinerant labor; 16 NOW, THIIiEE'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the I7 County of Butte, State of California, as follows: 1$ 1. That said County of Butte hereby loans unto the Housing 19 Authority of the County of Butte the sum of EIGHT' THOUSAND DOLLARS ($8,000.00), 20 to be paid on or before five (5) years from the date of the promissory note, 21 to be given by said Housing Authority of the County of Butte as evidence 22 of said loan, which said note is to be secured by a Deed of Trust on the 23 real property belonging to the Housing Authority, and generally known as 24 "The Labor Camp," at Gridley, Butte County, California, excepting therefrom 25 that real property upon which the Housing Authority office is situate and is 26 now subject to other indebtedness. ~ ` ~~~~ 2q 2. When any housing authority created for any city or county becomes authorized to transact business and exercise its powers, the governing body o£ the city or county shall immediately make an estimate of the amount necessary for the administra-- tive expenses and overhead of the housing authority during its first year, and may appropriate the amount to the authority as a loan or donation. Any city or county located wholl~r or partially within the area of operation of a housing authority may lend or donate money to the authority or agree to do so. When it has money avai~.a~ale, the housing authority shall make reimbursements for all such loans made to it.
