RESOLUTION AND API'OINTMEIVT FOR COMPtNl~ICATIONS COORDINATOR
FOR THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
BE IT RESOLVED, by the BOARS OF SUPERVISORS of the County
of Butte, State of California, as follows:
'RESOLVED: That Jack H. Turner is hereby authorized
and designated as the Communications Coordinator of the
County of Butte, State of California, to sign and present all
radio communication. license. applications and renewals in the
name of the County in accordance with Part 10, Public Safety
Radio Services, Rules and Regulations, Federal Communications
Commission; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said communications coordi-
nator will subscribe to and be thoroughly familiar with all
Federal Communications Commission Rules and Regulations as
applies to County government radio systems, and shall be a
member of and coordinate with Northern California Associated
Public Communications Officers, Inco, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That he be assigned the following
duties to include but not limited to as follows:
a. To coordinate with County Administrative Officer and
department heads to assure guided development of the county
communications program.
bo To be responsible for insuring an adequate and
economical communications maintenance program is developed.
c. To assist in preparing specifications, bids, and
applications for securing federal matching funds and in all
matters pertaining to purchase of.communications equipment.
And,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a Communications Users
Council be formed composed of the head. of each county department
using radio communications and members from other city and/or
state agencies such as the California Highway Patrol, organized
~'
1 fire and utilities districts, and Chiefs oi' Police, advisory
2 members to the Council to be the radio maintenance contractor
3 and commercial radio equipment .suppliers at the discretion of
4 the Council.. The users council shall consider specific problems
$ affecting operation, maintenance, anal coordination of radio
6 systems and equipments and make appropriate recommendations.
