COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION RATIFYING UNAUTHORIZED CONTRACT ENTERED
INTO BY THE WELFARE DEPARTMENT OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE AND AUTHORIZING EDUCATIONAL LEAVE STIPEND
WHEREAS, that heretofore on the 16th day of August, 1963,
Ernest Lopez, County Welfare Director of the County of Butte,
entered into a contract with Daniel D. Parker and the State of
California Department of Social Welfare; and
WHEREAS, said contract is for the purpose of granting to
Daniel DD Parker an educational leave with stipend pursuant to
Section 300 of the 'Welfare and Institutions Code and pursuant to
the State of California Department of Social Welfare regulations
F-860.30, F-870 and F-871, which have been declared by the Department
of Social 1n7elfare to be the prevailing rules and regulations for
the granting of educational leaves with stipend; and
WHEREAS, said stipend provides for the sum of $2,790.00 plus
an amount for employees share of retirement as determined by the
appropriate retirement board; and
WHEREAS, in addition to said stipend and retirement said
Daniel D. Parker, as an employee of the County of Butte, will be
entitled to such other and further fringe benefits as are normally
attributed to an employee; and
WHEREAS, any and all such pay ox stipend together with fringe
benefits, is to be repaid by the State of California Department of
Social Welfare pursuant to the aforesaid regulations declared to
be the rules and regulations of said Department of Social Welfare
under which said educational leave shall be granted;
NOS7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors

of the County of Butte, State of California, that the contract
heretofore entered into on August 16, 1963 by and between
Daniel D. Parker, the State of California Department of Social
Welfare and the County of Butte by and through the County ti7elfare
Director, Ernest Lopez, is hereby ratified; and
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Daniel D. Parker shall be
paid a stipend in the sum of $2,790.00 plus an amount for the
employees share of retirement as determined by the appropriate
retirement board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 8th day of
October 1963, by the following vote:
AXES: Supervisors Alldredge, McKillop and Chairman Steinegger
NOES: Supervisors Giles and Pryde
