RESOLUTION NO. 63- 131 .
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE. STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION IN RE INCREASE IN BUDGET OF THE
CALIFORNIA STATE FAIR AND EXPOSITION
WHEREAS, the costs to each County now exhibiting in the Counties
Building at the California State Fair have shown a sharp increase for materials
and labor so that the Counties can adequately depict their County to its best
advantage; and
WHEREAS, the Premium monies awarded by the State Fair for the Feature
Exhibit Classifications have not been increased accordingly; and
WHEREAS, the County Exhibits are the main attraction at the Fair, over-
shadowing all other exhibits, including the livestock features, it is felt that
they should be accorded proper recognition by increasing the premiums awarded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte that a request be made for an additional TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($25,000.00 to be incorporated in the 1963-64 budget of the California
State Fair and Exposition. This is to increase the Premium monies for Feature
Exhibits and Special Premium awards.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Supervisor Giles
who moved its adoption, seconded by Supervisor pryde ,and said
Resolution was passed this 15th day of October, 1963, on roll call by the
following vote:
AYES; Supervisors Alldredge, Giles, McKillop, Pryde and Chairman Steineg
