BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RATES FOR MORTICIANS SERVICES
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is required to bury certain
indigent deceased persons; and
WHEREAS, the California licensed Morticians and licensed
Mortuarys in the County of Butte agree to provide the following:
1. To embalm all bodies that are in a condition permitting.
2. In cases where said deceased has no clothing suitable
for burial purposes, to furnish underwear, socks,
robe or ladies gown proper for burial and to dress
the body with the same.
3. To use a standard County Casket,
4. To provide transportation for the purpose of
conveying said body to its place of burial.
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to compensate the morticians performing
the above services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, that the following fees
shall be paid to the mortician rendering service for the burial of
indigent deceased persons as follows:
Item Rates
1'. Stillborn $35.00
2. Under one year $75.00
3. Over one year $150.00
4. Mileage 15~/mile
after first
10 miles
5. Charge for release to
another mortuary $60.00
6. Cases under medical
care requiring autopsy $25.00

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 12th day of November
1963, by the following vote:
