RESOLUTION NO. 63-145
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION APPROVING WATER SUPPLY CONTRACT BETWEEN COUNTY OF BUTTE
AND STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the State of California, by and through the Department of
Water Resources, are engaged in establishing a statewide water supply known
as the California Water Pian; and
WHEREAS, under said plan water is available to various agencies
throughout the State; and
WHEREAS, the economic interests of the County of Butte require that
a water supply be made available to the County of Butte for its orderly
development; and
WHEREAS, negotiations have been conducted under the direction of the
Board of Supervisors of Butte County and the best possible contract has been
negotiated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, that the County shall enter into a
contract for water as negotiated, a copy of which proposed contract is
attached hereto and made a part of this resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of this Board, together with
all other 3~.oard members, are hereby authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the County of Butte and do such other and further acts necessary to
consummate said contract.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California this 17th day of December, 1963, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Giles, McKillop, Pryde and Chairman Steinegger
NOES:. None
ABSENT: Supervisox Alldredge /~ ~
