That Butte County Ordinance No. 600 known as the "Air }?'orT~ion Control Ordinance For Butte County" is hereby amended, as foilc~ws: (a) Section 20 of said ordinance is amended to read: PERI~TB: After December 31st, 1958, or after December 31st of any subse- quent3year, a~A person shall plaee;~maintsin, alter, use or opexate in eACess Of five orchard heaters in any place where they may be used or operated for frost protection, without first obtaining a permit to dv so from the Control Officer. Application for such permits sha11 be made to tli® Control Officer on forms obtained from him and shall contain all in- formation called for by such forms. The Control Officer may require the app73.cant to furnish, such additional information as he may deem necessary before passing on any application. Permits shall not be transferable. (b) Sectian 22 of said ordinance is amended to read: TERM OF PERMITS: Permits issued shall be effective from January 1st to December 31st of earl: year. Applications for reneraal of permits shall be made on or before December 31st of each year; provided, that if any appli- cant has purchased or leased orchard property or purchased, co~erted or hired orchard heaters after December Slat of any year and desires to use orchard heaters, ha sha11 apply for a permit within thirty (30) days after such purchase, conversion or lmase. Any permit issued for Class A heaters as hereinafter described, sha11 be considered to be a permit, valid until suspended, revoked or untilthe number or kinds of heaters is changed.. (c) Section 25 ©f said ordinance is amended to read: I~TE FILED APPLTCATIONS: Applications for permits filed after December 31st of any year wi71 be processed in the same fashion as timely made applications but the applicant will be assessed a penalty for late filing in the sum of X10.00 at the time of making said late application.
