HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-025 No. 64-25 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RESOLUTION OF THE EL MEDIO FIRE DISTRICT ANNEXING CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY TO THE EL MEDIO FIRE DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO SECTION 14215.5 OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE. WHEREAS the EL MEDIO FIRE DISTRICT has, on January 16, 1964, passed a Resolution for the purpose of annexing a parcel of real property to 'the said District; and WHEREAS proceedings resulting in said Resolution were conducted pursuant to Section 14211 et seq of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California; and that no protest having been received; and. WHEREAS said Resolution has been presented to the Board of Super- visors of the County of Butte for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte deem it to be in the best interest of the people of the EL MEDIO FI DISTRICT, and the County of Butte, that the property referred to in said Resolution be annexed, and this Board hereby approves said Resolution of the EL MEDIO FIRE; DISTRICT annexing to said District the following described real property: All that certain real property situate in the County of Butte, State of California, and more particularly described as follows: A portion of the Southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 19 North, Range 4 East, M.D.M., and being more particularly described as follows. Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 5, according to the map of the Barnes Tract recorded January 25, 1951 in Book 18 of maps, at page 48 and 49, records of Butte • County, State of California; thence TWesterly along the prolongation of the North Line of Block 6 to the Easterly Line of Truckee Street, • (now known as Lincoln Street) ; thence Southerly along the Easterly Line of Truckee Street to the intersection thereof with the. 'Westerly Line of the Barnes Tract; thence Northerly along said Westerly Line of the Barnes Tract to the point of beginning. That as a result of this resolution, the new boundaries of the EL MEDIO FIRE DISTRICT shall be more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the extension Northerly of the Easterly line of Bowers Addition to Oroville, with the Northerly right of way line of Wyandotte Avenue (on Oroville City limits); thence Westerly along Oroville City Limits and the Northerly line of Wyandotte Avenue to the Easterly line of Myers Street; thence Northerly along Oroville City Limits to the Northeast corner of the Barnes Tract (on the Westerly line of Myers Street); thence Westerly along the Northerly line of Barnes Tract to its Northwest corner; thence S 00024' W along the Westerly line of said Barnes Tract to the Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 5, according to lie map of the Barnes Tract recorded January 25, 1951 in Book 18 of maps, at page 48 and 49, records of Butte County, State of California; thence Westerly along the prolongation of the North line of Block 6 to the Easterly line of Truckee Street (now known as Lincoln Street) ; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of Truckee Street to the intersection thereof with the westerly line of the Barnes Tract; thence continuing S 00°24'W along the Westerly line of Barnes Tract to the center line of Wyandotte Avenue; thence S 88°39'30" W 275.28 feet; thence S 00° 04'30" W 660.62 feet; thence S 88°35'W 656.22 feet; thence S 00° 00'20" W to the Easterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad; thence Southerly along said line to the most Southerly corner of the Lee Higgins Tract (on the 'Westerly right of way line of the Palermo Road); thence Southerly in a straight line to the most Northerly corner of the Baggett Tract (on the Easterly ritit of way line of the Baggett-Marysville Road); thence S 88° 24' W 63.94 feet to the Westerly line of said Baggett-Marysville Road; thence Southerly along said line to a point that bears S 71029'IF 71.00 feet from the most Southerly corner of the Baggett Tract; thence N 71021' E 71.00 feet to the most Southerly corner of said Baggett Tract (said point be- ing on the Westerly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad); thence Northerly along said Westerly right of way line to the extension Westerly of the Northerly line of Hill and Dale Subdivision; thence Easterly along said line to the Northwest corner of said Hill and Dale subdivision (on the Easterly right of way line of said Southern Pacific Railroad); thence Southerly along the Westerly line of said Hill and Dale Subdivision to its Southwest corner; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said subdivision to the Southeast corner of Lot 25 of said subdivision, said corner being on ae Westerly line of that certain parcel of land described in deed from Albert E. Kimmel, et al, to Leona W. Singley and recorded in the office of the recorder of the County of Butte, State of California, December 2, 1949, in Book 526 of official records at page 248; thence Southerly along the Westerly line of said parcel of land to the Westerly line of Oakdale Heights Subdivision; Hence Southerly along the Westerly line of said subdivision to the Southwest corner of Lot 50 of said subdivision; thence Easterly along the Souther- ly line of said Lot 50 and its extension to the Easterly right of way line of the Palermo Road; thence Southerly along said road to the Northerly right of way line of V-3 Road; thence Easterly along said line to the Westerly right of way line of the Lower Wyandotte Road; thence Northerly along the Westerly right of way line of the Lower Wyandotte Road to the Southerly line of V-7 Road; thence Westerly along the said V-7 Road to the Westerly right of way line of the Oroville-Bangor Highway; thence Northwesterly along the Westerly right of way line of the Oroville Bangor Highway to the Easterly line of Howe's Addition; thence Northerly along said Easterly line of said Howe Addition and Bowers Addition to Oroville to the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 35, of said Bowers addition to Oroville; thence Westerly along the line of said Subdivision to the Northwest corner of Lot 10, Block 34 of said subdivision; thence Northerly along the Easteroy line of said subdivision and its extension to the North line of Wyandotte Avenue, and the point of beginning. Except for the Southern Pacific right of way within the above described parcel. Also., except for that part of the right of way for Virginia Street lying Southerly of the South line of Paxton Subdivision.
