BOARD OF SUPERVISOR
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF GALIFORNI,A
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
WATER RESOURCES TO INCLUDE FUNDS IN ITS 1965-66
BUDGET FOR WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT STUDIES
IN BUTTE COUNTY
WHEREAS, Butte County is a County of Origin; and
~iEREAS, Butte County must develop and reserve adequate
supplies of water for its future ultimate development; and
WHEREAS, Butte County will require additional data and
detailed water resources development studies to determine water
requirements and reasible sources and means of supplying water
to meet the needs of the valley and foothill areas of the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of ;Super-
visors of the County of Butte requests that the State Department
of Water Resources include funds in its 1965-66 budget for the
aforementioned studies in Butte County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that initiation of such a study
shall not preclude other water resources studies from being made
by the County, the State or other governmental or private en=
tities;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that through initiation of such
a study, Butte County shall not relinquish any water rights which
the County has under existing law;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this study shall be advisory
only and shall not require that the County conform to or follow
the recommendations or findings contained in the study and in no
way shall this study be binding on the water development activi-
ties of the County.
FASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California,. at the regular meeting
