BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF ABANDONMENT OF BUTTE COUNTY HIGHWAY,
DETERMINATION OF VALUE TO BE LESS THAN $75.00, AND
DIRECTING PRIVATE SALE ~rlITHOUT ADVERTISING (Sections
956.8 and 958, Streets and Highways Code, and Section
25362 of the Government Code)
"WHEREAS, the BOARD OF SUPERVTSORS of the County of
Butte, State of California, have heretofore declared its intentw
ion to vacate and abandon the following described public highway
in the County of Butte, to wit:
All that certain real property situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, described
as follows:
That portion of Cosby Avenue lying 50.00 feet
easterly and 50.00 feet westerly of the corner
common to lots 60, 61, 65 and 66, in the center
of Edgar Slough,. as shown on that certain map
of the John Crouch Subdivision, recorded December
7, 1908, in Book 6 of Maps, page 81;
and
WHEREAS, upon filing Resolution of Intention To Abandon
said highway, the BOARD OF 'SUPERVISOR'S did, by order, fix the
30th day of June, 1964, at 11:00 o'clock A.M,, at the Butte
County Courthouse, Oroville, California, as the time and place
for a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was given to all free-
holders of the district in which said highway is located by
publication for two successive weeks prior to the date of said
hearing, in the Chico Enterprise Record., and by posting of
similar notice along the line of the highway proposed to be
abandoned; and
"WHEREAS, it appears that all legal requirements have
been complied with, the Board, being fully informed and advised,
finds that the highway described in said Resolution is unnecessary

for present or prospective public use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ~UPER~
VIBORB OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
That the public highway as above described, is hereby
ordered vacated and abandoned. The County Clerk is hereby
directed to file a certified copy of this Order in the office of
the County Recorder of Butte County for record.
It is the unanimous judgment of the Board that said
property does not exceed in val ue the sum of $75.00, and
therefore, that said property may be sold by the Chairman of this
Board and the Purchasing Agent of the County of Butte at private
sale without advertising.
That the Chairman of this Board, in conjunction with the
Purchasing Agent, is hereby instructed to negotiate the private
sale of said easement on such terms and conditions as may be
prescribed by the Chairman and the Purchasing Agent, and that
said sale should be reported and confirmed by this Board of
Supervisors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 30th day of June
1964, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Alldredge, Giles, Pryde, Steinegger and
Chairman McKillop
