HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-116RESOLUTION N0. 64-116 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING OPPORTUNITY TO PLAN AND DESIGN RELOCATION OF NELSON BAR ROAD 1 2 3 4! b 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 is 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 2$ 26 27 28 29 30 31. 32 WHEREAS, the people of the County of Butte are extremely desirous of securing an adequate and at least as useful a replacement for the Nelson Bar Road as possible; and WHEREAS, lack of an adequate and at least as useful replacement . will result in a dislocation of the cultural and economic ties between the communities of Paradise and Concow; and WHEREAS, the Legislature of this State, apparently feeling that the local governmental entities could plan and design relocation work in respect to replacement of facilities of local governmental agencies at no greater cost than by the State, adopted Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 43 at its last session~g and WHEREAS, the County acting through this Board of Supervisors is of the opinion that the County of Sutte Ban plan and design a replacement facili for the Nelson Bar Road at no greater cost than the State; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte requests that the County of Butte be given the opportunity to plan and design the relocation of the Nelson Bar Road at no expense to the County; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of this Board is directed to transmit copies of this resolution to the Governor of this State, the Adminis- trator of the Resources Agency, the Director of the Department of Water j~ " X l= Resources, Senators ~ollier, Cobey and Pittman and Assemblymen Carrell, Booth, x Porter and Z`Berg.
