BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH COUNTY SERVICE AREA
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 3, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 3
of the Government Code of .the State of California, the Board of
Supervisors of Butte County .have instituted proceedings for the
establishment of a county .service area within the County of Butte<
NOW, .THEREFORE, it is hereby Resolved:
1. That a county .service .area is .proposed to be established
..under the terms of the aforesaid chapter in the unincorporated area
of .Butte County; the boundary lines of the ..territories proposed for
_inclusion in the area are more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a.par.t hereof by reference as .though fully
set forth .verbatim and at length.
2e That the :name proposed for said county service .area is

3, That the types of extended county services already
provided in this .area is street lighting..
4. That the types of extended .county services .pro-posed
to be..provid.ed in this .area is street lighting<
S . That . a .tax suf.fici.ent to pay ..for .all such s.erv.i ces
which are .furnished .on an .extended .basis will be .annually levied
upon .all taxable property within such_.areae
6. That on-December 29,_1964, at _11:_00 A.M., a public
hearing will .be .held on the establishment of said area,

Beginning at the intersection of the southerly right of way line of East
Ninth Street and the westerly right of way line of State Highway 99 (Freeway); and
Chico City Limits asdascribed in Ordinance No. 731, Ordinance Annexing uninhabited
Territory to the City of Chico; thence southeasterly along said city limits line to
the east line of Bouchers Third Addition; recorded in Book 6 at page 15, Butte County
Official Records; thence southerly along said east boundary, the east boundary of
Sunset Addition, recorded in Book 6 at page 34, Butte County Official Records; the
east boundary of the Jenkins Tract, recorded in Book 4 at page 31, Butte County Official
Records, and the east boundary of the Fetter Tract, recorded in Book 2 at page 192, Butte
County Official Records; the north right of way line of E. 20th St.; '!thence westerly
along said right of way line to the west line of lot 16 of said Fetter Tract; thence
northerly along the westerly line of said Lot 16, to the southerly right of way line
of Sixteenth Street; thence westerly along the southerly right of way line of said
Sixteenth Street to the northwest corner of Lot 14 of said Fetter Tract; thence
southerly along the westerly line of said Lot 14 a distance of 231.63 feet; thence
southwesterly to a point on the east line of the Baker, Jones and Smith Subdivision,

southeasterly of the south line of East Nineteenth Street; thence southeasterly along
said easterly line of Baker, Jones and Smith Tract to the southerly line of the Alley
