BUTTE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS AT GRIDLEY, CALIFORNIA, WHEREAS, the State of California Public Works Board has .=F` approved on August 31, 1964, the construction of a Junior Exhibit Multi-Purpose Building on the Butte County Fairgrounds at Gridley, California; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Finance has appropriated and set aside for use of the Butte County Fair a sum of fifty thousand dollars C$50,000) under Executive Order No, Fa64~38 to be used for construction of a Junior Exhibit Multi-Purpose Building and Area; and WHEREAS, the COUNTY OF BUTTE, by and through the Butte County Fair Association, desires to construct such buildings; and WHEREAS, pursuant to that certain agreeiiient between the Butte County Fair Board, dated February 5i 1963; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Fair Board was concerned with these premises, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows: 1, That Butte County Fair Association be authorized to contract with a private firm for the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of said Junior Exhibit Mu1ti- Purpose Building on the Butte County Fairgrounds; 2, That Butte County Fair Association be authorized to enter into contracts with a private firm to prepare plans for the relocation of existing electrical service which is situated on the land area to be occupied by the proposed building; 3, That Butte County Fair Association be authorized to expend such of the above funds as are necessary and available to expedite the construction and completion of said building, i 1 including: The advertising for bids, the purchase of kitchen 2 equipment, the construction of a service entrance road, the 3 construction of a pedestrian walkway, including gates and the ,4 landscaping of said building; 5 4o That the COUNTY OF BUTTE, by and through its Departme*_it g of Public Works and Director thereof, is hereby authorized to do 7 the following: g (a) To inspect and approve plans and specifications; '' 9 (b) To inspect and approve all bid and contract forms; lp (c) To cause the publication of a call for bids., as 11 required by law; 12 (d) To perform all necessary engineering and inspections 13 and finally approve the performance of the principal '].4 contractor obtaining a successful bid, ~' 15 5o That upon receipt of a satisfactory bid, COUNTY will 16 enter into a contract for the performance of said work, subject 17 to performance by Butte County Fair Association, as follows: lg (a) That Butte County Fair Association shall perform such !19 duties necessary toward the payment to such contractor '2p and for purchases or services herein provided, out of 21 funds allocated to such Butte County Fair for said 22 purpose by the State Department of Finance; 23 (b) That the Butte County Fair Association assumes resin 24 pansibility for all costs incurred during, prior or 2d after construction of said building as provided '2B herein, i27 T'he foregoing Resolution was introduced by Supervisor 2g j~ry~l~ , who moved its adoption, seconded by Supervisor 29 S-F¢fmaiyer , and said Resolution was passed this ~ ~ day 30 of November , 1.964, on roll call by the following vote: 31 AYES: Supervisors Alldredge, Giles, Pryde, Steinegger & Chairman McKi '32 NOES: None -2- 1 ''2 3 4 5 6 ,7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 1$ 19 20 '21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ABSENT: ATTEST: J cK L P, C airman o t e B d of Supervisors, County of Butte, State of California JESBIE Mo ROGERS, Butte County Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Board of Supervisors sy , DEP TY CONCURRE BUTTE U IR BO By HAIRMAN ~~'.!! .L~.- BUTTE COUNTY F IR ASSOCIATION W, B, Marcum, ecretary-Manager -3-
