RESOLUTION N0. 64~ 153
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY OF THE COUNTY OF
BLTTTE REGARDING SUBDIVISION OF LAN- IN AREAS OF
FOTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte that a potentially
dangerous situation is frequently created by allowing subdivision
of residential land with inadequate access in areas of high
potential fire hazard; and
ZdEIEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte
is cognizant of its responsibility to exercise its authority to
insure the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens
of the County of Butte,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
That the Planning Commission of the County of Butte,
as advisory agency to the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, in matters pertaining to the zoning and. planning, give
serious consideration to the danger to persons or property of
the citizens of Butte County, created by the subdivision of
property throughout the County; and
That the Planning Commission make specific recommendations
regarding requirements for adequate access and other safety
measures which may be reasonably required ~f subdividers to
insure the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens
of Butte County in areas of potential fire hazards
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the
County of Butte, State of California, this Sth day of
December, 1964, by the following vote:
