AN INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ZONING A PORTION OF SAID
COUNTY, REFERRING TO E%ISTING ORDINANCE NOS.
x.75 AND 522 OF SAID COUNTY AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
3 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, da ordain as follows:
SECTION 1.- The hereinafter described area situat®-in the
County... of Butte, Stra,te of Cal3fornia~ shall be zoned as an
nR-1" (Single-Family Residential) District as hereinafter
described and subject to all of the resticted uses applicable to
an "R-1" District.~Said area. so zoned being located in the com-
munity of Paradise, California, particularly described as follows:
nBeginning at the northeast corner of Section 11, T.22N.R.3E,
M.D.B. ~ M; thence westerly along section lane to its inter-
section with Paradise Irrigation District Boundary; thence
south®rly a]~ong said Paradise Irrigation District Boundary
to its intersection with the northerly Extension of centerline
of Cliff Drive; thence southerly along said centerline of
Cliff Drive to its intersection with centerline of Edwards
Lane; thence easterly along centerline of said EdwardsLan~
and its entension to the centerline of Skyway; thence norther]
along said centerline of Skyway to the point of beginning".
SECTION 2, The following regulations shall apply in an
'~ ,Single-Family Residential) District:
2.1 Uses Permitted:
1 Single-family dwellings
2 Accessory buildings
3 The following uses subject to the securing of ~s~dse
Permit in each ease: i
a Golf courses and country clubs.
b~. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches;
fire houses, hospitals parks and playgrounds,
schools, and public utility buildings.
c). Private stables.
2.2 Building Site Area Required: F%ghh thousand one hundred
twenty-five ($,].25) sq. ft..
2.3 Minimum Building Site Width Required: Sixty-five ~~
(651 ft..
2.~, Minmum Front Yard Required: Twenty-five (25) ft...
2.5 Minimum Side Yard Required: Six (6} ft..
SECTION 3. Additional Uses Permitted: General Commercial
uses shall be permitted for property having frontage on the
Skyway.
SECTION y.. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed upon said District shall be as provided in the
said Zoning Enabling Ordinance.

SECTION 5. The ordinance shall be, and it is hereby de-
clared to be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage, pursuant to the ~~sergenay hereinafter found and
declared; and it shall remain in full force and effect until
such. time $s a permanent ordinance covering the abave-described
area shall take effect following notice, public hearings, and
other procedures as provided in said Zoning Enabling Ordinance,
or until such time as the $oard of Supervisors shall determine
that the said area shall. not be zoned as an uR-ln District.
SECTION 6. For the miri~diate preservati.on.of the public
peace, health and safety of the area hereinabove described, and
the residents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this
ordinance take effect immed3.ately. A declaration of the factsa
constituting the necessity therefor is as follows:
The adoption of such Interim Zoning ..Plan..is necessary

application for such permanent detail zoning..
SECTION 7. This emergelacy ordinance shall take effect im-
nediately upon its passage and before th,s expiration of fifteen
(l5} days after its passage shall be published once,~with the
names of all members voting for and against the same, in the
Paradise News Press 9 a newspaper published in said County
o utte.
ADOPTED and PASSED by the Board of Supervisors~of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 1$th daq of May, 1959 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Alldredge, Giles, Huggins, Pryde and Chairman Kepple
NOES : None
ABSENT: .None
NOT VOTING: None
