BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF WILLIAM R. ALLDREDGE
WHEREAS, WILLIAM R. ALLDREDGE died in Chico, Butte County,
California, on the 19th day of January, 1965; and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM R. ALLDREDGE was, at the time of his
death, a Supervisor of the County of Butte, having been first
so elected in 1958, and re-elected without opposition in 1962, and
having served as Chairman of said Board of Supervisors in the
year 1962; and
WHEREAS, in addition to said official public service to
the county and to the state; WILLIAM R. ALLDREDGE actively parti°
cipated during his Lifetime in the affairs of his country and his
community, being a veteran of World War I, a member of the America
Legion Post No. 17, a member of Hooker Oak Lodge, Knights of
Pythias, and a member of the Butte County Farm Bureau, and other
business and agricultural organizations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
1. That said Board hereby expresses its appreciation for
the outstanding services rendered by WILLIAM R. ALLDREDGE to the
County of Butte as a member and chairman of said board, and for
his Leadership in the County of Butte and. the- community in which
he lived, both as a Supervisor and as a ctj~en.
2. That the condolences of this Boat be extended to the
members of the family of WILLIAM R. ALLDREbG~, and that the Clerk
of this Board forward a certified copy of this Resolution to
Millicent Alldredge, his surviving spouse, and to Donald Gordon
Alldredge and William Robert Alldredge, his surviving sons.
3. That the regular meeting of this Board, held on this
26th day of January, 1965, be adjourned in memory of WILLIAM R.
ALLDREDGE.
