HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-021l 2 3 4 5 6 '7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 '26 .27 ,28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION N0. b5- 21 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING COUNTY LIBRARIAN TO ENTER INTO LIBRARY SURVEY ~riEREAS, County of Butte maintains a county library; and ~+,3EREAS, it is the desire of the county to provide the most improved public library service possible to the residents of Butte County; and ~fiEREAS, the counties of Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama and Trinity, together with the cities of Chico, Oroville, Orland, willows, Etna, Yreka and Marysville comprise an area with common problems; and ~iEREAS, it is desirable that an informational survey, giving information on all aspects of public library resources and services be prepared; and 'i~7f~F.REAS, said proposed survey will provide the county of i Butte with information as to methods of improvement of the library services; and 1~IEREAS, said survey can be made under the Library Services and Construction Act of 1964, without cost to the County of Butte; and 3~dEREAS, a description of the Library Services and Constru- etion Act project has been made available, and is attached hereto, NOTnl, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that the Butte County Librarian is hereby authorized to participate in a multiple library survey with other cities and counties in the area, on the condition that there shall be no cost for said survey chargeable against the County of Butte, and that at the conclusion of said survey there shall be no .obligation on the part of Butte County to put into effect any of the recommendations of this survey. 11 2 3 4~ 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 Z8 19 20 `21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 SI 32 BE IT FURTHER RESOI:VED that the survey shall cover the material that is listed in Exhibit "A°1 attached hereto, describ- ing Library Services and Construction .Act project.
