RESOLUTION N0. 65- 3~
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND ATTORNEYS
THE WOODLANDS, UNIT N0. 2
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisaxs of the County of Butte,
California, that
WHEREAS, this Board has determined to undertake proceedings pur-
suant to appropriate assessment and assessment bond acts for the ac-
quisition and construction of public improvements in said County;
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be served
by appointing and employing engineers and attorneys for the prepara-
tion and conduct of said proceedings and work in connection with said
acquisitions and improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That L. T. Mlcoch, Paradise, California, be, and he is hereby,
appointed as Engineer of Work and employed to do and perform all
engineering work necessary in and for said proceedings, including all
preliminary surveying, plans, pxofiles, specifications, estimate of
costs, diagram, assessment and waxxant, setting grade stakes and
supervision of work; that his compensation be, and it is hereby,
fixed at a reasonable fee to be set forth in the estimate of cost and
approved by this Board and assessed as an incidental expense of said
proceedings; and that said L. T. Mlcoch be designated to make and
sign any certificate or document required to be made or signed by
the Engineer of Work.
2. The Director of Public Works of said County is hereby directed
to examine and approve the engineering documents, and to provide in-
spection of the construction of said improvements and to accept said
work when done to his satisfaction and, as County Surveyor, to sign
the warrant. The cost of said inspection shall be assessed as an
incidental expense of said proceedings.
3, That the law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton & Lynch, San Mateo,
California, be, and they are hereby appointed and employed to do and
perform all legal services required in the conduct of said proceedings
including the preparation of all papers not required to be prepared by
the Engineer, examining and approving the engineering documents and
advising the Engineer in the preparation of his work, advising all
County officials on all matters relating thereto when called upon, and
furnishing their legal opinion on the validity of said proceedings and
bonds, and that their compensation be, and it is hereby, fixed at two
per cent (2°fo) of the total assessment, or Five hundred Dollars ($500)
whichever is greater, together with reasonable fees for services in
acquiring easements or in eminent domain or other suits, to be assessed
as an incidental expense of said proceedings.

PASSED and ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, California, on this 6th day of April , 1865, by the
following vote:
AYES, Supervisors: GTLES, HOWBDEN~ MAXOId~ McKTLLOP~ and
CHAIRMAN PEYDE.
NOES, Supervisors: NONE.
ABSENT, Supervisors: NOME.
