A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE AND CONST CT n,~~~:~;J 1965
IMPROVEMENTS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
California, that in its opinion the public interest and convenience re-
quire, and that it is the intention of said Board to order the acqui-
sitions and improvements more particularly described as follows:
(a) The improving of U?ood Circle and Roe Road for their entire
lengths and widths, as shown on the map of The Woodlands, Unit No. 2,
by clearing, grubbing and grading, and the construction therein of un-
treated rock base and double seal coat asphalt paving within The Wood-
lands, Unit No. 2, together with the construction and installation of
water lines, fire hydrants, water services, storm drains, curbs and
gutters and the acquisition of rights of way for off site drainage
facilities.
(b) The acquisition of 12-foot drainage easements between Lot
29 and Lot 30; and between Lot 38 and Lot 39; and a 25-foot drainage
easement across the easterly portions of Lot 38 and Lot 39•
(c) The construction of all work and improvements and the ac-
quisition of all lands, easements and rights of way auxiliary to any
of the above and necessary to complete the same.
2. Whenever any public way is herein referred to as xunning be-
tween two public ways, or from or to any public way, the intersections
of the public ways referred to are included to the extent that work is
shown on the plans filed herein. All the work shall be of the forms,
sizes, dimensions, depths, in the locations and to the grades as more
particularly shown on the plans, profiles and specifications therefor
approved by the Board of Supervisors of said County.
3. That is excepted, however, from the work any and all thereof
which has already been done or laid to official line and grade as here-
tofore adopted and established in said plans, profiles and specifications.
~-. Reference is hereby .made to the plans and specifications on
file in the office of the County Clerk of said County, and the same
are incorporated herein as if fully set forth.
5. Said Boaxd does hereby adopt and establish as the official
grades for said work the grades and elevations shown upon said plans,
profiles and specifications. All such grades and elevations are to
be in feet and decimals of feet with reference to the official base
and datum plane of the U. S. Coast Geodetic Survey, as described in
said plans and specifications.
6. Notice is hereby given of the fact that in many cases said
work and improvement .will bring the finished work to a grade different
from that formerly existing, and that to said extent said grades are
hereby changed and that said work will be done to said changed grades.
7. Said Board further declares that all public streets and
highways within said assessment district in use in the performance of
a public function as such, shall be omitted from the assessment hereW
after to be made to cover the costs and expenses of said acquisitians
and improvements.
$. Said contemplated acquisitions and improvements, in the
opinion of this Board, are of more than local ar ordinary public bene-
fit and said Board does hereby make the costs and expenses thereof
chargeable upon an assessment district, the exterior boundaries of
which district are the coterminous exterior boundaries of the com-
posite and consolidated area shown an the map thereof on file in the
office of the County Clerk which indicates by a boundary line the ex-
tent of the territory included in the proposed district and which
shall govern for all details as to the extent of the assessment dis-
trict, to which reference is hereby made for a more particular des-
cription thereof.
g. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent un-
paid assessments and bear interest at the rate of six per cent (6~)
per annum, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by Division
7 of the Streets and Highways Code, the Improvement Act of lgll, and
the last installment of such bonds shall mature fourteen (1~) years
from the second day of January next succeeding the next September lst
following their date. Said bonds shall be made payable to bearer and
provide a premium of five per cent (5~) of the unmatured principal
thereof on call.

10. All of said work, improvements and acquisitions shall be
done pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of lgll, as
amended.
11. Reference is hereby made to proceedings had under the
Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest
Act of 1931, on file in the office of the County Clerk.
12. The Paradise .Post , a newspaper of
general circulation printed and circulated in said County, is hereby
designated as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention shall
be published, and the County Clerk is hereby directed to cause this
Resolution of Intention to be published by two insertions in the
manner and form provided by law.
13. The County Surveyor shall cause to be conspicuously posted
along the line of said contemplated work and improvements, at not more
than 300 feet in distance apart, and along all the open streets and
avenues within said district, and in front of all property liable to
be assessed, at not more than 300 feet in distance apart, but not
less than 3 in all on each street in said district, notices of the
passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form re-
quired by the Improvement Act of 1811 and amendments thereto.

15. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 11th day of
May 1965, at the hour of 11:fl0 o~clock A M., the
Chambers of this Board, Court House, Oroville, California, any and
all persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvements
or acquisitions herein described or to the proposed grades at which
said work or improvements or acquisitions are to be done and made,
or having any objections to the proposed district to be assessed
therefor, or the boundaries or extent thereof, may appear before said
Board and show cause why said proposed work or improvements should
not be carried out in accordance with this Resolution of intention.
16. The County Clerk is hereby directed to mail notices of the
adoption of this Resolution of Intention, postage .prepaid, to all
persons specified and in the time, form and manner provided by law.
