A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
THE WOODLANDS, UNIT N0. 2
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
California, that
WHEREAS, the said Board did, on the 6th day of April ,
1955, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 55- to order the
construction of grading, pavement, curbs, gutters, water distribution
facilities and appurtenances, and storm drainage facilities and
appurtenances in The Woodlands Unit, No. 2 in said County, all as more
particularly described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention;
NOW, THEREFORE, the County Clerk of said County is hereby dir-
ected to publish once a week for two weeks, in the Paradise Post
a newspaper of general circulation published and
circulated in said County, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids
for the construction of said improvements, and referring to the plans
and specifications on file in the office of said County Clerk, the
first of which publications shall be at least ten (10} days prior to
the time fixed for opening bids.
A11 proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a certified or
cashier's check payable to the County amounting to not less then ten
per cent {10~} of the bid, or by a bond for that amount and so payable,
signed by two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent
to administer an oath, in double that amount and over and above all
statutory exemptions, or by a corporate surety bond to the satis-
faction and approval of the County Surveyor. Said check shall be
forfeited or said bond shall become payable to said County in case the
bidder depositing the same does not, within twenty-five (25) days
after the first publication of notice of award, enter into a contract
with the County Surveyor of said County.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the County
Clerk of this County on or before 111:00 o'clock ,~ ~. on the
~?th day of may;: , 1965, said time being not less than ten
{10) days from the time of the first publication of said notice.
Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day and
hour.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, California, on this 13th day of April , 1965, by the
following vote:

NOES, Supervisors: Nane
