RESOLUTION ENDORSING LEGISLATION FOR MARKETING OF BOND`.

issued•by state and local governments; and
~7HEREAS, they presently are not permitted to underwrite
or deal in revenue bonds of the state or local governments; and
AHEREAS, there presently is before the Congress of the
United States a bill entitled "H,R. 7539"; and
5~7HEREAS, this board has determined that the passage of
this bill is to the best interests of local economies,
NOTE, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
of the County of Buttes State of California,. that said board
endorses the legislation known as "H,R. 7539"~, to enable national
banks and other member banks of the Federal Reserve System to
underwrite and deal in high quality revenue bonds of the state
and local government,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Glerk of this board shall
forward a copy of this Resolution to the Honorable HAROLD T,
"BIZZ" JOHNSON, Congressman, 2nd Districtp Honorable GEORGE
MURPHY, United States Senator, and Honorable THOMAS H; KUCHEL,
United States ;Senators and such other interested parties as may
be designated by the Chairman of this board,
PARSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Buttes. State of Californian this 4th day of May! 1965,
by the following vote:
