RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO THE RICE CERTIFICATE PLAN
HR 7097 e TITLE III .: RICE
AI-IEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, desire to record its opposition to HR 7097,
Title III ~ Rice; and
'~AfiEREAS, it is the opinion of this Board that said
legislation will be detrimental to the rice industry in California
generally} and to the rice farmers of the County of Butte partite
cularly,
NOW, THE-'REPQRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte that it go on record strongly in opposition
to the Rice Certificate Plan, HR 7097., Title III ~ Rice..
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be
forwarded by the Clerk of this Board to the United States Senator,
George Murphy, United States Representative, Harold T. "Bizz"
Johnson, State Senator, Stan Pittman, and State Assemblyman, Ray
Johnson.
