RESOLUTION 0~' INTENTION TO SELL WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chico did on
Tune 16 , 1965, adopt its Resolution No. 154 64-65
Resolution of Intention and did declare in said Resolution its inten-
tion to order the construction of certain-works of improvement in the
City of Chico and the County of Butte within and adjacent to Mountain
Vista Assessment District, all pursuant to Division 12 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, the Municipal Tmprove~-
ment Act of 1913, as amended, and
WHEREAS, said works of improvement will include a water
distribution systesa consisting of pipelines, conneotions, fittings,
valves, hydrants and all necessary appurtenances.
NOW THEREFORE, RESOLVED BY THE BOARD 0~` SUPERVISORS 0~' THE
COUNTY 0~` BUTTE
That this Board hereby finds and determines that said water
distribution system is useful and necessary for the furnishing of
water to an area in the County of Butte, the boundaries of which area
are described as follows:
All of the lots within the subdivision Mountain
Vista Subdivision Unit No. One recorded in the
office of the Count Recorder of the County of
Butte in Boak 32 ofyMaps, Map No. 12.
That this Board hereby finds and determines that said water
system cannot be economically and efficiently operated and maintained
by said County of Butte for the reason that the County of Butte has
no facilities for the operation and maintenance of said system.

That it is the intention of this Board to sell said Water
distribution system excepting hydrants and this Board finds and
determines that the public interest will not be furthered by advert-
ising or calling for bids and that the advertising or calling for bids
would not result in competitive bidding and that it is the intention
of this Board to sell said water distribution system excepting hydrants
to the California Water Service Company and that the sale of said
system shall be conditioned upon the purchasers thereof maintaining
and operating said system for the purpose of furnishing water
to said area.
This Board hereby gives notice that it sets .Tu~,zo ,

1965, at the hour of 11:00 oiclock a m. in the chambers of the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte in the Butte County Court-
house, Oroville, Califom ia, as the time and place when and where any
and all persons objecting to the proposed sale may appear before this
Board and shoal cause why the proposed sale should not be made in
accordance with this Resolution.
This Board hereby gives notice that any owner of property
that will be assessed for said improvements, the boundaries of Which
property incl ude all the lots wit hin the subdivisions Mountain Vista
Subdivision Unit No. One recorded in the office of the County Recorder
of the County of Butte in Book 32 of Maps, Map No. 12 and Mountain
Vista Subdivision Unit No. Two recorded in the office of the said
Gounty Recorder in Book 32 of Maps, Map 1Vo. 15, may at any time not
later than the hour set for hearing objections to said sale make and
deliver to the Clerk of this Board a v~mitten protest against the
proposed sale. The Clerk of this Board shall cause this Resolution

of Intention to be published once a week for two successive weeks
in THE CHICO ENTERPRISE RECORD, a newspaper of general circulation.

RESOLUTION TO ACCOMPANY
APPLICATION FOR 5TATE AID
UNDER THE EMERGENCY FLOOD RELIEF LAW
Sections 54150-54164 of Government Gode
WHEREAS, the Emergency Flood Relief Law, Sections 54250, et. seq., of the Government
Code, authorizes State aid to repair or restore storm and flood damage or destruction to public real
property having a general public and state interest, sub}ect io the appropriation of the necessary funds
by the State Legislature; and
WHEREAS, during the period from December __19..~to January 19.x.-there
occurred storm and flood damage or destruction estimated at ~ 39 X225 to public real property
having a general public and State interest, hereinafter described, lying within the boundaries of
Butte County

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that application is hereby made to the State of
California for state assistance under said law to repair and restore the public real property described
in~Ezhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED "THAT R P. OrNeill Director of Public Works

is'designated as the applicant's duly authorized representative in ail matters arising under this appli-
ca[ion, exclusive of the power to execute, on behalf of applicant, the agreement with the appropriate
State Department for the performance of the work.
