BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
1 COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
2 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY ON ACCEPTANCE OF PRIVATE
ROADS INTO THE COUNTY ROAT3 SYSTEi~i

4 T~7HEREAS, a number of developers of land have established
5 private roads for the development of their land; and
6 ~,TFI,"e,REAS, subsequent to the establishment of the private
7 road, said developers have requested that said private roads be
8 taken into the county road system; and
9 WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a policy to guide
10 such acceptance,
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
I2 OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, that it is the policy of this board that
13 prior to acceptance of roads or streets by the county into the
~4 county road system, the following conditions shall be complied
15 with:
~g 1. The property be surveyed and property corners estabw
17 lisped and.monumented, together with a record of survey map which
18 shall be recordedo
1.9 2a Convey to the county, by deed, the necessary right*~of~
20 way and easements.
21 3, Road and drainage facilities that are constructed have
22 been constructed in accordance with county standards. This shall
23 be verified by the Department of Public 3~orks and the petitioner
24 shall submit engineered road plans# and afield inspection is
25 made by the Department of Public"Worksp
''28 4. Inspection and map filing fees shall be paid by the
27 petitioner.
