RESOLUTION N0, 65~~
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING ~'OLICY RELATING.TO MUNICIPAL
INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BOND FINANCING
T~HEREAS, the County of Butte has established an Economic
Development Commission; and
T,THEREAS, counties other than the County of Butte, use
municipal industrial revenue bonds to finance acquisition of
construction of lands, buildings, facilities or equipment to be
leased to private interest; and
'WHEREAS, the Senate of the State of California, in Senate
Concurrent Resolution No. 83, has opposed the use of such bonds
to aid private enterprise,
N0~1, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD 0~' SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, that it is the policy of the County of
Butte to oppose the issuance of municipal industrial revenue
bonds that will permit the use of public credit to a private
enterprise, and to any impairment or elimination of taxi-exempt
status of the municipal bonds under federal law,
BE IT FURTHER RE50LVED that this Board of Supervisors
concurs with the Senate Concurrent Resolution Noo 83.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the clerk of this board is
hereby directed to transmit copies of this resolution to the
Economic Development Commission of Butte County, and to such other
and further interested parties as the Chairman may deem propero
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 6th day of ~3t~~-, 1965,
by the following vote;
