RESOLUTION RE NEW PUBLIC ROAD CONNECTION TO
FREEWAX SOUTH OF BUTTE CREEK

WHEREAS, the California Highway Commission has heretofore adopted a
resolution declaring that certain section of State Highway Route 99, in the
County of Butte, between Oroville Wye and Centerville Road, to be a limited
freeway; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors entered into a freeway
agreement with the State of California, Department of Publie Works, Division
of Highways, on April 30, 1951, covering the above-declared freeway; and
WHEREAS, a large subdivision (Butte Creek Estates), country club and
golf course are now being developed on the westerly side of the freeway,
southerly of Butte Creek; and
WHEREAS the development of this subdivision and other improvements
are advantageous to the welfare and economy of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, for the proper development of these facilities and as a
service to the public, a public road access to said State Highway is highly
desirable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE- by the Board of Supervisors of Butte
County that the California Highway Commission be requested to permit the
temporary entrance of one public road on the westerly side of the above-
described freeway, approximately 0.4 miles southerly of Butte Creek.
PASSED AND ADOPTE- by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
on the 20th day of ,7uly , 1965.
