2 RESOLUTION AMENDING BUTTE COUNTY PERSONNEL. RULH~

4 S~7HEREAS, the employees have presented a request for a
5 change in the vacation schedule under the Personnel Rules; and
g ~~EREAS, this board :has duly considerei the same,
7 NOW, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED by the BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF
g SUPERVISORS as follows;
g Section 9.0 Attendance and leaves shall be amended to read
~0 as follows:
11 "Each employee in the classified service shall be entitled
to a vacation. Employees with less than:- five (5) years
12 service shall be entitled to a vacation of 5/6 of a working
day per months Employees who have completed five (5} years
13 of service by July 1, 1965, or upon reaching their fifti~
anniversary of service shall be entitled to a vacation of
14 14 working days per month.
16 Earned vacation shall be credited annually at the end of
each fiscal year' and may be accumulated to a total of not
16 more than twenty (20) working days for em to ees with less
than; five (5) ears service and thirt worci~a s
17 or em o ees wit more t an ive ears service.
Ig An employee who kg s less than one year of uninterrupted
service shall not be entitled to a vacation or to vacation
Ig pay on separation from the classified serviced Employees
who work less than full time shall earn vacation credits on
20 a pro»rated basis.
21 Vacation shall be taken at such times as may be appraved by
a department head.

In the event one or more holidays fall within an annual
2S vacation leave, such holidays shall not be charged as
vacation leave and the vacation leave shall be extended
24 accardingly.
25 Employees who resign, retire or are laid off shall be paid
in a lump sum for all accrued vacation leave earned prior
2g to the effective date of terminations, No payment shall be
made for vacation accumulated contrary to the provisions
27 of these rules."
