BOARD OF 'SUPERVISORS
CD UNTY OF BUTTE, ;STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE IN BY~LA~S OF BUTTE
COUNTY ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL
?,~3EREAC, the Butte County Economic Opportunity Council has,
at its meeting of September 21R 1965, adopted an amendment to
the By«~laws; and
`FrTHEREAS, according to the byxlaws of the said Butte County
Economic Opportunity Council the approval of any change in the
bylaws must be approved by the Board of Supervisors; and
?r]HEREAS4 the Board of Supervisors approve the proposed.

NOTE, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVi~ by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California as follows:
1. That Section 1 of Article IV be defeated.
20 That section 2 of Article IV be amended to read as
follows
"Section 20 Each member of the Council shall represent a
group, areas or organization that forms a place in the
economic life of Butte Countya The Council s~a11 be
~esponsible..f-or recommending to the Board of Supervisors
the group that should be best suited to carry out the work
of the Council;'
3o That section 3 of Article IV be amended to read as
follows:
O''Section 3.. All members of the Council shall be nominated
by the respective groups they are to represent and be
appointed by the Council. (Prospective members can also
be recommended by the Council.) There shall be only one
member from any one group or organizationo"
4. That section 2B of Article VIT be amended to read as
I follows:
"Section 2B. The Membership Committee shall be responsible
for maintaining a broad representation of membership as
outlined in Article IV, Section 2. A11 new applications
for membership in the Council shall be approved by a
ma3ority vote of the Committee before being presented to
the Council as a whole. The Committee shall also be
responsible for seeing that any vacancies that occur shall
be filled at the earliest possible moment."
