HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-106~ ~ ~ n C ' RESOLUTION N0. 65106 RESOLUTION OF 13iFTTE COUNTY, AUTHORIZING FILING OF CLAIM WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 1334 OF TFIE STATUTES OF 1965, AND APPOINTING AN AUTHORIZER AGENT THEREFOR WHEREAS, Chapter 1334 of the Statutes of 1965 authorizes the State to pay to the County an amount not to exceed ten percent of the amount annually budgeted by the County in providing counsel in accordance with the Law, whether by public defender or by assigned counsel or both, for persons charged with violation of state criminal law wha desire, but are unable to afford counsel, and WHEREAS, the County desires to apply far the maximum amount payable under said law; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. That ~'.H. S e°1y~ Jr. is appointed the authorized agent of the County for the purpose of filing any application on behalf of the County with the State for reimbursement pursuant to the aforesaid chapter. 2. That he shall furnish such information, forms, and records to the State as the latter may require and otherwise cooperate with the State for the purpose of expediting payment of State funds to the County, pursuant to the aforesaid chapter. 3. That all County officers and employees are directed to cooperate with said authorized agent for the purpose of facilitating the application to the State and the receipt of State funds pursuant thereto. (Complete and certify resolution in accordance with usual formalities} The foregoing resolution was introduced by Supervisor McKILLOP ~ who r:!oved its adoption, seconded by Supervisor HQ,dSDEN , and said Resolution was passed this 14th day of October, 1905, on roll call by the following vote: AYES; SUPERVISORS GILES, HOWSDEN, MAXON?
