RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE REVISION AND EXTENSION
OF F.A,S, DESIGNATED ROUTE 5-1046
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of

California,
WHEREAS, under regulations issued by the Commissioner of Public Roads
under the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1944, the Department of Public Works,
Division of Highways, in cooperation with the County and the Bureau of Public
Roads, has been designated to select a Federal-aid Secondary System in this
County; and
WHEREAS, by construction of the Oroville Dam, portions of the Butte
County highway known as Oroville-Quincy Highway, FAS Route 5-1046, will be inun-
dated by waters impounded by said dam; and
WHEREAS, said portions of Oroville-Quincy Highway will have to be relo-
cated in order to provide a facility for ingress and egress to large agriculture
residential, xecreational and forest products areas; and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to change and extend said Aoute 5-1046;
NOWT THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board o€ Supervisors of the County
of Sutte, State of California, that this Board requests the revision of said
route from the following termini:
TOTAL
Oroville-Quincy Highway FAS 759 northerly to approximately 6.2 mi.
two and one-half miles north of
Bidwell Bar
to the limits described as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
that the new alignment and extension of FAS Route 5-1046 is included in the
Select System of County Roads as provided in Section 186.3 of the Streets &
Highways code.
NOid~ THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Board is
hereby authorized to execute said Resolution on behalf of the County of
Butte and cause executed copies to be delivered to the Department of Public
Works, Division of Highways.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California at the regular meeting thereof on the 16th
day of November ~ 1g55 ~ by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Giles, Howsden, Maxon, McKillop and Chairman Pryde
NOES; None
