WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County entered
into a Freeway Agreement with the State of California, Department
of Public Works, Division of Highways, on April 3Q, 1851, relating
to that certain portion of State Highway Route gg in Butte County
between. Oroville Wye and Centerville Road; and
WHEREAS, at that time the Butte Creek Estates area south
of Butte Creek, and the area between Butte Creek and the Southern
Pacific Railroad which has subsequently been zoned "Industrial",
were undeveloped with no public road connections; and
W~FEREAS, the future development of these areas require
• pub]~ic>~.ccess to the freeway; and

WHEREAS, Section 100.2 of the Streets and Highways Code
requires the adoption of a resolution by the California Highway
Commission consenting to a connection with any freeway of a new
public road; and
G7HEREAS, the County has adopted a resolution requesting a
temporary public road connection on the west side of the described
freeway, approximately 0.4 mile southerly of Butte Creek;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Supervisors
of Butte County as follows:
1. That the California Highway Commission is hereby
requested to adopt a resolution consenting to a new
public road connection to State Highway Route 99~

approximately 2,000 feet north of Butte Creek, at the
tzme of freeway development and the closure of the
temporary public road connection 0.~ mile south of
Butte Creek.
The foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting
of the Board of Supervisors of Butte County held on the 23rd day
of November , 1865, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Giles, Howsden, Maxon, McKillop and Chairman Pryde
NOES: Supervisors None
ABSENT: Supervisors None
