BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH COUNTY SERVICE AREA
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 3, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 3
of the Government Code of the State of California, the Board of i
Supervisors of Butte County have instituted proceedings for the
establishment of a county service area with the County of Butte,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RE50LVED:
1. That a county service area is proposed to be establish-
ed under the terms of the aforesaid chapter in the unincorporated
area of Butte County, together with a part of the City of Chico;
the boundary lines of the territories proposed for inclusion in
the area are mare particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof by reference as though fully set
forth verbatim and at length.
2. That the name proposed for said county service area
is County Service Area No. 24.
3. That there are no extended county services provided in
this area.
4. That the types of extended county services proposed to
be provided in this area is the operation, maintenance, repair,
and upkeep of drainage and flood facilities located within the
boundaries of the area described herein.
5. That except where furd; are otherwise available from
service charges collected pursuant to Section 25210.77a, a tax
sufficient to pay for all such services which are furnished on an
extended basis will be annually levied upon all taxable property
within such area, and further the Board of Supervisors intend to
establish zones within the boundaries of the County Service Area,
with tax rates varying with the extent of benefit to each zone
derived from service provided to the property within each .zone, a

6. That on December 28, 1965, at 11:00 A,M., a public
hearing wi11 be held on the establishment of said area.
