RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH
COUNTY SE~V.ICE AREA

WF~iEAS, pursuant to Title 3, Division 2, Part 2,
Chapter 2.2 of the Government Code of the State of California,
a written request by Supervisors Don Maxon of Division No.~
and Jack McKillop of Division No. 1, requesting institution of

proceedings for the establishment of a county service area was
in proper form presented to this Baard.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved:
1, That a county service area is proposed to be
established under the terms of the aforesaid chapter in
the unincorporated area of Butte County; the boundary lines.
of the territories proposed for inclusion in the area are:
A portion of Thermalito, Butte County, California, as shown
on the map thereof filed in the office of the County Recorder
of the County of Butte, State of California, on June 8, 3.887,
and portions of Sections l and 2, T. 19 N., R. 3 E., M.D.B.BcM.,
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Block 139 of Thermalito;
THENCE westerly along the southerly boundary of Blocks 139,
138 and 137, a record distance of 3,640 feet to the
southwest corner of Block 137;
THENCE northerly along the westerly boundary of Blocks 137,
l13 and 112, a record distance of 4,740 feet to the
southwest corner of Block 111;
THENCE westerly along the southerly boundary of Blocks llb

2. That the name proposed for said county service

3. That the types of extended county services
already provided in this area are:

4. The type of county service proposed to be
provided within the area is sewage service involving the
following improvements, to wit: Facilities for the collection,
treatment and disposal of sewage of said county service area
and its inhabitants, comprising main trunk lines, treatment
ponds, pipes, pumps, machinery, lands; easements, right of
ways, and other works, property, or structures useful or
necessary for the collection, treatment or disposal of sewage
of said county service area- and its inhabitants.
5. That except where funds are otherwise available,
a tax sufficient to pay for such service and the cost of the
acquisition, construction and completion of the improvements
listed in Paragraph 4 will be annually levied up on all taxable
