Home My WebLink About65-1341 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 '16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 '~ 24' 25~ 26 27 28 29 30 31 32, ~~ _ i5 ~~ RESOLUTION N0. 65=134 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, REORGANIZING SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND RE-ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITHTN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE WHEREAS, pursuant to Education Code Sections 2091 through 2098, the County Superintendent of Schools ordered an election to be held in the County of Butte on June 15, 1965, and has certified that a majority of the votes cast within the petitioning district approved annexation of the Richvale School District to th Biggs Union High School District in the County of Butte, State of California, and WHEREAS, an agreement to the annexation has been signed by a majority of the members of the governing boards of the districts affected thereby, and WHEREAS, pursuant to California Education Code Section 1976 whenever the boundaries of an elementary school district and a high school district become coterminous, the districts shall be merged into a new unified district, and WHEREAS, as the result of said election in the Richvale Elementary School District its boundaries are now coterminous with the Biggs Union High School District which by statutory merger causes the formation of a new unified district, and WHEREAS, Education Code Section 1701 provides that an action to organize or reorganize a district is complete when the Board of Supervisors makes the order required by Section 16470 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: 1. That pursuant to the authority conferred by the provisions of the Education Code, Section 1647, that certain territory situate in the County of Butte, State of California, and more particularly described as follows, to wit: Beginning at the ~. Section corner between Sections 19 ~: 1 and 30, T 18 N. R. 3 E. M.D.B. & Mo being in the West boundary of the Rancho Fernandez, sa~.d West 2 boundary of Rancho Fernandez being identicial with the West boundary of Gridley Colony No. 3; thence 3 Southerly along said West boundary of Gridley . Colony No. 3 to the Southwest corner of Lot No. 26 4 of said Gridley Colony No. 3; thence Easterly along the South line of Lots 26 and 27 of Gridley Colony 5 No. 3 being identical with the North Boundary of the Ord Rancho and Boyles Ranch and their extension g 24 miles, more or less, to .the center',of the Feather, River; thence up the Feather River Northerly 5 miles, ry more or less to the West line of South Thermalito extended Southerly; thence Northerly along the West g line of South Thermalito, and its extension Southerly 3/4 miles, more or less, to the Southerly line of g Oroville-Willows Road; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of Oroville-Willows Road to the East- lp erly line of Blocks 180 and 204- of South Thermalito extended Southerly; thence Northerly along last 11 mentioned. line 1 3/4 miles, more or less to the Southerly line of Section 21, T. 19 N,R.3~,extended 12 Easterly; thence Westerly along last mentioned line to the Southeast corner of said Section 21i thence 13 Northerly z mile more or less to the East ~ corner of said Section 21; thence Westerl along East and 14 West half section line to a point ~ mile East of West line of said Section 21; thence Northerly ,15 parailel to the West line of Sections 21, 16, and 9 T, 19 N. R. 3 E. 22 miles more or less to the North ,lg line of said Section 9; thence Westerly along Section lines 24 miles more or less ~o the Southeast corner 17 of Section 1, Ta 19 N. R, 2E.;,thence Northerly along .Range line 1 mile more or less, to the Northeast lg corner of said Section 1; thence Westerly on Township line 3 miles to the Southeast corner of Section 33 T. lg 20 N. R. 2E.; thence North on Section line z mile to quarter section corner between Sections 33 and 34, said 20 Township; thence Westerly on z Section line 5'~ miles more or less to the center of Butte Creek; thence 21 Southerly along Butte Creek to the Township line between T. 18 N, R, lE and T 17 N, R, lE; thence Easterly along 22 Township line 2 miles, more or less, to the Southeast earner of Section 33 T, 18 N, R. 1 Eo; thence Northerly 23 on Section line 1 mile more or less,to the Northeast corner of said Section 33; thence Easterly on Section 24 line 1 mile more or less to the Southeast corner of Section 27, said Township; thence Northerly on Section 25 line 1 mile more or less to the Northeast corner of said Section 27; thence Easterly on Section line Sz 26 miles more or less to the point of beginning. 27 be, and the same hereby is declared to be and established as a 28 separate school district of the County of Butte, for all 29 purposes provided by law. 30 2. ,The Clerk of this Board is directed to record a 31 certified copy of this Resolution and Order with the County Re- 32 corder of the County of Butte, and to file with the County Auditor -2- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 lI 12 '13 14 15 16 I7 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 of the County of Butte, and with the State Board of Equalization, a certified copy of this Resolution and Order, accompanied by a map showing the re-established boundaries of said new school district of Butte Countyo PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the .
