4 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COUNTY SERVICE AREA
TO BE IIQTITLED "COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 241°
5 (Government Code Sections 25210.1 et seq.)
6 WHEREAS, heretofore, on the 23rd day of November, 1965,
7 the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Calif-
'8 ornia, adopted and passed a Resolution of Notice of Intention to
9 establish a county service area to be entitled "COUNTY SERVICE
la AREA N0. 24"; and'
11 WHEREAS, said resolution fixed the 28th day of December,
12 1965, at 11:00 o'clock a.m. of said day, in the Board of Super-
i3 visors Room of the Butte County Courthouse, in the City of
14 Oroville, State of California, as the time and place for the
15 public hearing on the establishment of said area; and
16 WHEREAS, said Board, at said time and place, proceeded
17 to hear arguments both for and against the establishment of said
18 area; and
19 WHEREAS, no written protests against the establishment
20 thereof were filed in accordance with Section 25210.17 of the
21 Government Code; and
22 9~EIEREAS, the City of Chico has heretofore and prior to
23 the Resolution of Intention To Establish County `Service Area
24 No. 24, filed with this Board their consent that a portion of the
25 city may be included within the boundaries of County Service Area
26 No. 2~;
27 NOW, THIl2EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED b y the BOARD OF SUFER-
28 AUISORS of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
29 1. T hst said Board hereby finds and determines that
30 proceedings herein were conducted pursuant to Section 25210.1
31 et seq. of the Government Code, and that publication and notices
32 were given pursuant thereto, and that said Board finds and

determines that the extent to which. the services described in
the resolution of intention are extended county services, and the
City of Chico has consented to the inclusion of a part of said
city in said service area.
2. That said Board hereby determines to establish said
county service areao
3. That the boundaries of said service are hereby finally
determined and established as the same as are shown on Exhibit A,
attached hereto, entitled "Description of the Boundaries of County
Service Area No. 2411, said exhibit is incorporated herein by
reference and made apart of this resolution.
4. That the name of said service area so established
is '{COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 24".
5. That the type of extended county service to be
provided within said area is the operation, maintenance, repair,
and upkeep of drainage and flood facilities.
6. That a tax sufficient to pay for all such services
which are furnished on an extended basis shall be annually
levied upon all taxable property within said area. That Zone 2
receives twice the benefit of Zone 1 and said tax rate
for Zone 1 shall be in proportion to said benefit received.
7. That sand county service area is established for all
purposes subject only to compliance with the requirements of
Chapter 8, Part 1, Division 2, Title 5 of the Government Code
and subject to .the provisions of Article 2.5, Chapter 2.2,
Part 2, Division 2, Title 3 of the Government Code of the State
of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISOR'S of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 28th day of December,
1965, by the following vote:
