COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
RESOLUTION AND ORDER REORGANIZING SCHOOL DiSTR'1CTS A1~T
REESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITH,`:.
IN THE COUNTTES OF YUBA, BUTTER, COLUSA, YOLO, PLACER
AND BUTTE.
WHEREAS, after duly authorized study by the Sutter County
Committee on school district organization, recommendations for the
formation of a regional junior college district in the area
presently encompassed by the Yuba City Union High School District,
the East Ni=c:alaus Joint Union High School District, the Sutter
Union High School District, the Live Oak Unified School District,
all of Sutter County; the Marysville Union High School District
and the Wheatland Union High School District, both of Yuba County;
the former Clipper Mi11s School District of Butte County; and the
Colusa Unified School District, the Maxwell Unified School Dist-
rict, the Williams Unified School District, and the Pierce Joint
Unified School Dis trict, all of Colusa County, were forwarded to
the Sate Board of Education as required by law; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 1965, the State Board of Educat-
ion approved the recommendation of the Sutter County Committee on
School District Organization for the formation of a regional
junior college district; and
WHEREAS, under proceedings duly had in accordance with the
laws of the State of California, an election was called, held and
conducted by the Sutter, Colusa, and Yuba County Superintendents
of Schools on December 7, 1965, for the purpose of approving the
formation of a regional junior college district for said area, all
as required by section 3293 of the California Education Code; and
WHEREAS, the boundaries of said proposed regional junior
college district were the same as the area presently covered by th
existing Yuba City Union High School District, the East Nicholaus
Joint Union High School District, the Sutter Union High School

District, the Live Oak Unified School District, all of Sutter
County; the Marysville Union High School District and the Wheat-
land Union High School District, both of Yuba County; the former
Clipper Mills School District of Butte County; and the Colusa
Unified School District, the Maxwell Unified School District, the
Williams Unified School District, and the Pierce Joint Unified
School District, all of Colusa County; and ~,
WHEREAS, said area included the following school districts,)
namely Barry, Brittan, Browns, Central Gaither Union, Franklin,
Lincoln, Marcum-Illinois Union, Meridian, Nuestro, Pleasant Grove
Joint Union, Robbins-Sutter, Tierra Buena, Wilson, Winship, Yuba
City, Live Oak Unified, East Nicolaus Joint Union High School,
Sutter Union High School and Yuba City Union High School of Sutter
and Placer counties; Arboga, Brophy, Camptonville Union, Cordua, '~
Dobbins, Ella, Foothill Union, Fruitland Union, Linda, Marysville I,
City, Oregon House, Plumas, Rose Bar, Wheatland, Yuba Feather Join
Union, Marysville Union High School, Wheatland Union High School,
and the former Clipper Mills School District of Butte County that
is currently a part of the Yuba Feather Joint Union School Dist-
rict for elementary purposes only. CThe farmer Forbestown School
District of Butte County is currently a part of the Yuba County
school system for elementary, high school, and junior college
purposes); the Colusa Unified, the Maxwell Unified, the Williams
Unified, the Williams Unified, and the Fierce Joint Unified School
Districts of Colusa and Yo1o counties; and
WHEREAS, at said election held on December 7, 1965, the ma-
jority of the votes cast were in favor of the formation of the
regional junior college district of said area; and
WHEREAS, by certification dated December 14, 1965, the
County Superintendents of Schools of Sutter, Colusa and Yuba
Counties have certified to the Boards of Supervisors of Yuba,
Sutter, Colusa, Yolo, Placer, and Butte Counties the results of

said election indicating the approval of the formation of a region
al junior college district; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1647 of the California Edu-
cation Code the County Superintendent of Schools of Yuba County
has by letter dated December 21, 1965, requested that this Board
take action to terminate the following school district, namely the
Yuba County Junior College District as of June 30, 1966, and to
create a new school district, the boundaries of which would be
coterminous with the existing Yuba City Union High School District
the East Nicolaus Joint Union High School District, the Sutter
Union High School District, the Live Oak Unified School District,
all of Sutter County; the Marysville Union High School District
and the Wheatland Union High School District, both of Yuba County;
the former Clipper Mills 6chool District of Butte County; and the
Colusa Unified School District, the Maxwell Unified School Dist-
rict, the Williams Unified School District, and the Fierce Joint.
Unified School District, all of Colusa Caunty, effective July 1,
1966.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that pursuant
to the authority contained in Section 1647 a,f the California
Education Code it is hereby ordered that effective at 12:00 midnigt
June 30, 1966, the following school district be terminated: Yuba
County Junior College District.
That effective at 12:01 A.M., July 1, 1966, there is here-
by declared to be established and created a regional junior college
district the boundaries and areas of which are identical with the
area currently encompassed by the existing Yuba City Union High
School District, the East Nicolaus Joint Union High School District
the Sutter Union High School District, the Live Oak Unified School
District, all of Sutter County; the Marysville Union High School
District and the Wheatland Union High. School District, both of
Yuba County; the former Clipper Mills School District of Butte

1 County; and the Colusa Unified School District, the Maxwell Uni-
t fied School District, the Williams Unified School District, and
3 the Pierce Joint Unified School District, all of Colusa County;
4 That the boundaries of said regional college district as
5 re-established by the Boards of Supervisors of each of the fore-
'6 going counties, Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, Yolo and Placer, respecti-
7 vely, including that portion of Butte County boundaries design-
8 ated as Clipper Mills School District and Forbestown School
9 District, attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and the
10 same hereby are approved, pursuant to Education Code 1647.
11 That said regional junior college district shall be re-
12 ferred to as the new regional junior collage district comprising
13 the area of the existing Yuba City Union High School District, th
14 East Nicolaus Joint Union High School District, the Sutter Union
15 High School District, the Live Oak Unified School District, all
16 of Sutter County; the Marysville Union High School District and
17 the Wheatland Union High School District, both of Yuba County;
18 the former Clipper Mills School District of Butte County; and the
19 Colusa Unified School Dis trict, the Maxwell Unified School Dist-
20 rict, the Williams Unified School District, and the Pierce Joint
21 Unified School District, all of Colusa County, until such time
22 as a name for said district is selected by the initial governing
23 board of said regional junior college district, all as provided
24 by Section 2S44S.5 of the California Education Code.
25 BE IT nURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that pursuant to the
26 requirements contained in Section 1647 of the Education Code,
27 the Clerk of this Board be, and she is hereby directed and in-
'28 strutted to file certified copies of this resolution and order
29 with the County Auditors of the Counties of Yuba, Sutter, Colusa,
30 Yolo, Placer, and Butte, the County Assessors of the Counties of
31 Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, Yolo, Placer, and Butte, the State Board
32 of Equalization, the County Superintendents of Schools of the

Counties of Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, Yo1o, Placer, and Butte, the
State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the State Alloe-
ation Division of the Department of finance, together with a legal
description and map showing the boundaries of said regional junior
college district.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD Of SUPERVISORS of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 28th day of December,
1965, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Giles, Howsden, Maxon, McKillop and Chairman Pryde

CLIPPER MILLS SCHOOL DISTRICT
Clipper Mills District annexed #o Yuba-Feather Joint Union District of Yuba County on July 1, 1960.
The former Clipper Mills District is still in the Oroville Union High School District for high school
j purposes. .
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Section Five, Township Nineteen North, Range Seven East,
M.D.M., on the boundary line between Butte and Yuba Counties; thence North on section lines two miles
to the Northwest comer of Section Thirty-two, Township Twenty North, Range Seven East, M.D.M.
thence East on section lines two miles to the Northeast comer of Section Thirty-three; thence North on
section lice one mile to the Northwest comer of Section Twenty-seven; thence East on section Iiae
one.mile to the Northeast corner of Section Twenty-seven; thence North an section lines two miles to
the Northwest convex of Section Fourteen; thence East on section line. one mile to the Northeast comer
of said Section Fourteen; thence North on section lines two miles to the Northwest comer of Section
Qne, Township Twenty North, Range Seven East, M.D.M.; thence East on Standard Line one-half mile
to the boundary line between Butte and Plumas Counties; thence Southeasterly along the said boundary
line between Butte and Plumas Counties to the corner of Butte, Plumas and Yuba Counties; thence
