AN (,rcDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF' THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
PURSUANT TO ORiINANCE N0. 475 and 522
OF SAID COUNTY.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,.
under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County, being the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance of said County as amended by Ordinance Noa 522, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the County of
Butte, State of California, shall be, and it is hereby, zoned as an
"R-1" (Residential) District as hereinafter described and subject to all
of the restricted uses applicable to the uses of an "R-1" District, said
area so zoned being located South of the City of Oroville, California,
particularly described as follows:
The Oakdale Heights Subdivision, Units 1, 2 and 3,
as shown on those certain maps or plats thereof on file
and of record in the office of the County Recorder of
Butte County, State of California.
Section 2, The following regulations shall apply in an "R-1"
District:
2.1 Uses permitted:
1) One-family dwellings, not including tents or trailerso
2) Accessory buildings.
3) The following uses sub3ect to securing a use permit
in each case:
a. Golf courses and country clubs.
b. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
fire houses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds,
schools and public utility buildings.
c. Private stables.
2.2 Building Site Area Required: Eight thousand, one hundred
twenty-five ($,125) square feet.
2e3 Minimum Building Site: Width required, Sixty®five (65) feet.
2.4 Front Yard Required: Twenty-five (25) feet.
2.5 Side Yards Required: Six (6) feet, unless building site is
less than sixty (60) feet in width, in which case side yard
equal to ten percent of such width but not less than five (5)
feet shall be required.
Section 3. All uses of land within the district not specifically
authorized and permitted under Section 2 are prohibited,
Section 4. Penalties for any violation of the Zoning hereby imposed
within the. district. shall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling
Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling
Ordinance, this ordinance shall from and after its effective date ~OS
become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to
be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after-the
date of its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days
after its passage this ordinance shall be published once with the names
of the members voting for and against, in the OROVILLE MERCURY, a
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, this 17th day of .8iugust , 1959 by the
