The special school district bond election to be held in Oroville Union High School District on Tuesday, June 7, 1966. at which election there shall be submitted to the qualified electors of said district the measure of incurring a bonded in- debtedness of said district for the purposes set forth in the following measure, to wife -1- 1 2 3 '4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 18 17 18' 19 20 21 22 23 '24 25 26 '27 28 29 30 '31 32 SCHOOL DISTRIC'T' Bond Measure Shall Oroville Union High School District of Butte County incur a bonded indebtedness in the sum of $1,995,713.00 for the purpose of raising money for the following pur- poses (which are hereby united and shall be voted upon as one single proposition), to wit: (a) the purchasing of school lots; (b} the building or purchasing of _ school buildings; (c) the making of alter- ations or additions to the school building or buildings other than such as may be necessary for current maintenance, open- _ ation, or repairs; (d) the repairing, re- _ storing, or rebuilding of any school building damaged, injured, or destroyed by fire or other public calamity; (e) the supplying of school buildings and _ grounds with furniture, equipment or . necessary apparatus of a permanent nature; (f) the permanent improvement of the school grounds; (g) the carrying out of the projects or purposes authorized in15811 of the Education Code, to wit: providing sewers and drains adequate to treat andlor dispose of sewage and drainage on or away . from each school property; and, (h) the _ purchasing of school busses, the useful _ life of which is at least 20 years? BONDS YES BONDS NO be and the same is hereby consolidated with the Direct Primary Election to be held in Butte County, and throughout the State of California, on Tuesday, June 7, 1966, and this Board hereby con- sents to said consolidation. 2. the election precincts, polling places and voting booths for said special district bond election and said direct primary election shall in every case be the same and there shall be only one set of election officers in each precinct for both of said elections. The precincts, polling places and election officers far said special district bond election shall be those designated and appointed for said direct primary election in that certain notice to be given by the County Clerk of Butte County of the election officers appointed and polling places designated for each precinct for said direct primary election, which notice -2- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 '8 9 ].0 7.2 12 13 14 ].5 16 17 18 '19 20 21 X22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 '31 32 is to be published pursuant to Elections Code Section 1622, to which notice reference is hereby specifically made for a desig- nation of precincts, polling places and election officers for said special district bond election. All proceedings had in the premises shall be recorded in the election papers for said direct primary election and, except as hereinafter stated, said election; shall be held in all respects as though there were only one election. The Board of Supervisors of Butte County will canvass the results of said special district bond election and will certify the results to the Governing Board of said district and to the County Superintendent of Schools. 3. The County Cler7c of said County is hereby ordered and directed to provide within said territory affected by said consol dation the election precincts, polling places and voting booths for each of said elections hereby consolidated, which in each case shall be the same, and there shall be only one set of elect- ion officers in each of said precincts. Said County Clerk is fur ther ordered and directed to print upon each of the ballots to be used at said Direct Primary Election within said territory affect ed by said consolidation said district bond measure set forth in Section 1 of this resolution. Said County Clerk is further ordered and directed (i) to set forth on all sample ballots re- lating to said Direct Primary Election and to be mailed to the qualified electors of the district within said territory affectec by said consolidation said district bond measure, and to mail to said qualified electors of the district in said territory said sample ballots and also polling place cards signed by said County Clerk relating to said special school district bond elect- ion in the time and in the form required by law, and (ii) to pro- vide absent voter ballots for said Direct Primary Election and said special school district bond election hereby consolidated therewith for use by the qualified electors of the district -3- ~ ii= . . 1 within said territory affected by said consolidation who may be 2 entitled to such absent voter ballots in the manner provided by 3 law. In the event no non-partisan ballot is to be provided at 4 said Direct Primary Election for use within the district, then ~ the County Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause to 6 be printed in style and form required by law a special ballot 7 upon which shall appear said district bond measure for use by 8 non-partisan voters at said special district bond election con- 9 solidated with said Direct Primary Election. The County Clerk 10 is further authorized to charge to the district the additional 11 expense of printing upon the sample and official ballots for use 12 in said territory said district bond measure to be submitted 13 to the qualified electors of the district, and such other inci- 1~ dental expenses as may be incurred solely by reason of this order +1~ of consolidation. 16 IT IS HEREBY FOUND ,AND DETERMINED that the boundaries of 17 the district are coterminous with the boundaries of the Butte 18 County Election Precincts to be used at said Direct Primary Elec- 19 tion, excepting that only portions~of Butte County Election Pre- 20 cincts designated Sterling City, Yankee Hill, Magalia, Paradise 21 12, Pence, Crum's Ranch Thermalito 1, Thermalito 2, Union, and 22 Central House, are within the boundaries of the district. Said 23 portions of said designated precincts are hereby established as '24 special district precincts for the purpose of said special dis- 25 trict bond electiono Pursuant to the second and third sentences 26 of Elections Code Section 23304, (a) said special district bond 27 election is hereby consolidated with said Direct Primary Election 28 as to said special district precincts, each of which lies en- 29 tirely within one of said designated precincts for said Direct 30 Primary Election; and (b) ballots containing said district bond 31 measure shall be provided for those voters in any of said desig- 82 nated precincts who reside within any of said special district -4- ~ i i - ~ . l precincts and separate ballots without said district bond measure ',2 shall be provided far those voters who reside within any of 3 said designated precincts but not in any of said special dis- ;4 trict precincts. Sample ballots setting forth said district 5 bond measure shall be mailed to all voters residing within any 8 of said designated precincts who reside within any of said specia] 7 district precincts and sample ballots without said district bond 8 measure shall be mailed to all voters residing within any of 9 said designated precincts but not in any of said special district 10 precincts, except that if it cannot be determined by the records 11 of the County Clerk which voters in any one of said designated 12 precincts reside in the special district precinct within said de- 13 signated precinct, said district bond measure shall be set forth 14 on all sample ballots mailed to the voters in the designated pre-- 15 cinct in which such special district precinct is located and the 16 polling place cards mailed with such sample ballots shall contain 17 a statement to the effect that only voters residing within the 18 district shall be entitled to receive official ballots containing 19 said district bond measure and to vote on said district bond 20 measure. 21 4.
