BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AND ORDER TO ABANDON AND VACATE A PUBLIC
ROAD RIGHT OF WAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 960.1
OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
WHEREAS, a subdivider is developing a subdivision adjancsnt to the
Stilson Canyon Road; and
WHEREAS, the 5tils°n Car{ynn Road within the boundaries of the Stilson
Canyon Subdivision is being superseded by relocation; and
'~1i-1EREAS, the subdivider has reconstructed and relocated this portion
of the Stilson Ganyon Road in accordance with C,~unty standards and requirements
and
WHEREAS, the new Stilson Canyon Road has eliminated any use of the
existing road and all persons being served by the old road will be served by
said new road; and
WHEREAS, the area known as the ald Stilson Canyon Road is no longer
necessary for public use and the County has no public use for said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisor
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That the hereinafter described road right of way is hereby
abandoned and vacated.
2. That skid road right of way is situated in the County of Butte,
State of California, described as follows:

of Butte,

Passed and adopted at the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors:
County of Butte, State of Califo rnia, on the 5th day of April, 1966, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Howsden, Maxon, McKillop, Pryde and Chairman Giles
NOES: None
