HomeMy WebLinkAbout66-055i, BUTTE CREEK ESTATES AS SESSNIENT DISTRICT RESOLUTION N0. ~ ;.S.S- DIRECTING CLERK OF BOARD TO CALL FOR BIDS WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on ~ 2 "L / ~ 1966, adopted its Resolution No. ~~-.~"2 Resolution of Intention and declared its intention to construct pertain improve- ments described in said Resolution of Intention; and WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors in said Reso- lution of Intention referred said pro posed improvement work to Walter B. Grimes, R.C.E. and directed said Walter B. Grimes to make-and file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butts a Report in writing, pursuant to the provisions of California Streets and High ways Code Sections 10203 and 10204; and WHEREAS, said Walter B. Grimes duly made and filed his Report in writing with said Clark; and WHEREAS, said Report was duly presated by said Clerk to this Board for consideration and after being fully considered by said Board was preliminarily adopted, ~~ confirmed, and approved; 'and said Board fixed ~ ~[f, 1966, at /~ oiclock ~.M. at the Board Chambers in the Butte County Courthouse in the City of Oroville, California, -1- as the time and place for bearing protests to the proposed improvement work, and WIiEREAS, this Board deems it advisable to call for bids on said improvement work proposed to be constructed for said assessment district and deems it advisable to receive such bids before the time set for tl~ public hearing on said Report and on the assessment attached there- to. Nav THEREFORE, RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE: That this Board hereby directs the Clerk of this Board to publish a Notice to Bidders pursuant to Government Code Section 6066, which shall refer to the specifications and invite sealed proposals or bids for doing said work and improvements, and this Board hereby directs that said publication shall be in the a news- paper published and circulated in said County of Butte, which newspaper bas been heretofore desgnated for that pur- pose. That this Board hereby directs the Clerk to spec- ify in said Notice that all proposals for doing said work shall be received by her at her. off ice in the Butte Gounty Courthouse in the City of Oroville, California, on the / ~~ day of ~ , 1966, up to the hour of //,'(~ o ~ clock _~ ~.M. and this Board hereby designates said day and time as the day and time at which the Clerk shall cause the said proposals or bids to be publicly opened, examined and declared, and directs the Clerk to specify all of the same ~n said Notice. -2- This Gouncil also directs the Clerk to state in said Notice that all proposals or bids shall be accompanied with a cashierTS check, a check certified by a responsible bank payable to the order of the County of Butte for an amount not less than ten per cent ~10~) of the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for the said amount and so payable, signed by the bidder and two sureties, or by a corporate surety, all as prescribed by law.
