BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
NO , 31
WHEREAS, Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 31 purposes to
declare the Middle Fork of the Feather River a '1wild river"; and
WHEREAS, said resolution further requests a study of the
feasibility and desirability of designating the Middle Fork of
the Feather River a wild river; and
WHEREAS, such study would delay construction of irrigation
facilities on the Middle Fork, and such delay would interfere
with and obstruct agricultural activity in the County of Butte,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte that they oppose passage of Assembly
Concurrent Resolution No. 31 of the California Legislature of the
year 1966, and direct that all parties interested be informed of
their action.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Supervisor Leslie J. Pryde be,
and he is hereby, appointed to appear before all meetings consid-
ering said resolution and oppose the same on behalf of Butte
County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 3rd day of May, 1966, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Howsden, Maxon, Pryde, Chairman Giles
NOES: Supervisor McKillop
